We had an amazing experience on the train. The conductor, Warren, was phenomenal and was consistently sharing historical knowledge of the area. He was great with the kids. Prizes were given out while on the train and afterward for best kid! This was great! All the "best" kids got a golden spike!

We saw several moose and had several absolutely stunning views of Denali! The train made several stops for photo opportunities of all the wildlife and those stunning views! We would definitely do this again! There was plenty of room on the train to move around while the train was moving! It was such a unique experience to ride on one of America's last flag stop trains. So many people jumping on and off the train. It was great to see these hunters, rafters, hikers, fisherman, and campers jump off the train and enter into the Alaskan wilderness. This was so awesome!!! In my mind this is a must thing to do in Alaska!

Denali was out, and we had great views. The ride is delightful, and the conductor provides interesting and engaging commentary. We bought lunch (and beer) in Talkeetna and consumed them on the train. Great experience.

Being born and raised in Talkeetna you would have thought this is something I would have done in the last 48 years but yesterday was the first time I have ever been on the train to Hurricane, and it was a wonderful experience. The Conductor was great, so sorry I do not remember his name, we had great weather and the scenery was awesome. If the weather isn't nice I can see this being an OK trip as without the scenery there isn't much else. Also there is nothing on the train in way of food or drink so make sure you bring it. Thanks Alaska Railroad for providing this unique service to those that depend on it to get to back and forth to their homes.

Real expected a whole lot after all the recommendations on Trip Advisor. The last few miles near Hurricane were spectacular but you continue to sit their being bummed out till that last stretch. Again great for if you have more than 15 days in Alaska and want something to do.. not great considering there were so many other things that you could do with your time in Alaska
