“fun and interesting”

We heard the Park Ranger talk about climbing expeditions up Denali. It was interesting and a great little museum as well.

Informative and interesting tour about the history of Talkeetna. I wish I'd had more time, could've stayed for hours

“Cute little museum”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

If you like learning about history, you have to go here. It's packed full of stories and stuff from the founding days of Talkeetna the surrounding areas. Lots of info on mining. There's also a great display dedicated to climbing Denali.

“Great Ranger Talk”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

We visited the museum and listened to the ranger talk on climbing Mt. McKinley. The ranger talk was very interesting and informative going over the history of the mountain, and the role of the park service in supervising the mountain. Our favorite attraction in Talkeetna.

“Worth it if you are there during the ranger presentation on Mt Mckinley”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

The museum itself was interesting, but more of a way to pass time. The presentation on climbing Mt. Mckinley was the best presentation we heard during our entire trip. The ranger is a great speaker and his delivery makes you understand a little bit of what the climbers experience. This was something we could not have obtained just through reading and looking at displays. The presentation is worth a lot more than the $3 admission price. I don't know where the timings are normally posted but we saw a flyer for it at the train station.
