The American breakfast was large and filling. We had dinner once and the portions were large. The food was made to order. Don't expect fast food, expect good food.

Big portions of good, hot food well prepared and well presented.

Enjoyed the somewhat bready onion rings. Enjoyed the sizzling calamari.

This is not a fancy place, but appeared clean. Locals eating there including kids.

Prices low for a touristy area.

We were taken to this establishment by our tour guides. It took over 30 minutes for the waitress to take our orders then another hour and a half to receive our food. We tried to keep our choices simple, although we couldn't figure out why they were overwhelmed, we were a small group and there was only one other couple there at the time. My friends ordered grilled cheese thinking it would be fast and easy. After waiting almost 2 hours, they came out with barely any toast on the bread and a slab of unmelted cheese. I ordered the chicken salad thinking it would be easy since most places it's premade. I received my order last and ate quickly so as not to delay the tour any longer. It had a huge piece of bone in it! We were highly disappointed in this place and told our guides to never use it again.

From the outside, this place does not look like much. However, when you go inside, it is a pleasant surprise. They have air conditioning though it is not always on. It is small but nicely decorated. It has a rustic feel with its wooden decor. The seating is seven large wooden booths. If you walk through the small restaurant out the back door there are a few tables hidden away you can sit at. The bathroom is also out there. It is small, and a single unisex bathroom. There is no sink.

The breakfasts here are fairly affordable at around 7-8 dollars and are enough to satisfy you. It is quiet and generally not crowded. However, the lunch special brings in a bit of a crowd sometimes. It is by far one of the most affordable and best lunch deals in town. For 6 dollars you get one or two mains (like sweet and sour pork and chicken nuggets) with a small fresh salad, a block of rice, endless tea and a soup. Dinner is hit or miss as far as crowds, and the sweet and sour chicken is very good. They also have decent curry here. They do a variety of foods including Filipino and hot plates.

A downfall of this restaurant however, is it normally takes a long time to get your food (Less so during breakfast). In a way this means everything is made fresh but it also means that you will wait quite a while for food, so be prepared, bring a book or a friend.

I recommend the breakfast setting, when it is not crowded and the service is faster. I like the American breakfast best with fresh juice.

We at here several times during our stay at Okeefe's Waterfront Inn, located directly across the street. We enjoyed a fabulous feast of Mangrove Crab (arranged for us in advance by the owner of O'Keefe's) and would recommend this highly for anyone who loves seafood. Remember though, 1 crab is enough for 2 people! We also had excellent sashimi and other fresh seafood, as well as breakfasts, all billed to our room across the street. Many of the dishes had an asian/Indian flair. Very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit.
