Kolonia is the capital of Micronesia. If you are island hopping through Micronesia or need to visit the US Embassy, you will stop here. It is not very big with one main road passing through the center of town. There are no stop lights in the town. A lot of businesses and the US post office are located along this road. I am not sure if even has a name. A second road that branches off of it from the airport has a movie theater, US embassy, and some major stores along it. It is one of those towns where when you ask for directions, it is is located pass or just before a major landmark or 3 corners over from the second intersection. You can drive both roads in less than 10 minutes and see most of the major sights. Some buildings are not clearly marked so you may miss what a building or business. Most of the hotels on the island are located in town. It is an easy walk in the early morning or late evening when it cooler. Walked around in the morning and had no problems but the heat when it started to warm up.
