“Next Adventure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2014

This trip was great from start to finish. Darren and Jane were fabulous with lots of special little unespected extras thrown in. The places we stayed at were all fantastic, especially the Flying Fox Lodge. Fantastic scenery, warm and friendly people, great food and great trails to ride and experience. Would reccommend this adventure for all, even those with not great bike fitness.

“Mountain bike riding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2014

It's a healthy and exhilarating way to take a holiday break. The bikes are really well maintained and easy to ride. The service helpful and friendly. I wished I had bike pants. Sore bottom after a couple of days. Have e transfers included excellent.

“Experience the trail”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

This was a great way of experiencing the Old Coach route. We were transported with the rented bikes to the start of our trail and there was lots of history boards to give information. The views change constantly. Some of the trail is quite challenging and a less experienced cyclist might have to get off and push for a very short distance. I would thoroughly recommend this activity.

“Seriously Cool biking holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2014

Five days spent cycling from the "mountain to the sea" where because of the help and support of Darren and Jane all we had to do was enjoy the physical exercise, scenery and sense of adventure during the day and then in the evening eat a lovely dinner and relax with a glass of wine. Darren and Jane could not have been more helpful in what they did for us. Our gear was delivered with all that we needed when we needed it. The accommodation and food was superb. The helpful hints and local knowledge enhanced the places we passed through. Darren checked our bikes after going through the Mangapurua Track. The lovely surprise at Pipiriki of picklets, cream and jam made by Jane (with tea and coffee). Will be recommending Mountain Bike Station to anyone and will be using them again.

“MOUNTAIN BIKE MAGIC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

Awesome 5 days spent on the "mountain to sea" track that would not have been anything like the experience it was without the help of Jane and Darren at Station Lodge. These guys bent over backwards to ensure that our trip was a success in spite of unseasonal weather challenges. We originally thought that we could cobble an itinary together but without their input the trip would have been very different!! Darren is fanatical about the region and about the outdoors and with youngsters of their own the couple gave fantastic service to ensure our entire family was well catered for from transport to accomadation, bike maintenance and safety right through to guiding us along a magnificent stretch of the Wanganui River...on which Darren himself paddled 2 of our 3 kids. The local history that both hosts keenly shared gave us such a more complete understanding of the tracks and their environment. They worked incessantly on our behalf and made us feel a part of their young family too. It was obvious how much they are respected by other trip operators involved along the way. Couldn't have asked for any more and would do it again through these guys tomorrow; worth EVERY cent.
