We stayed 2 nights. The hotel is beautifully decorated including the huge lobby. The area surrounding the lobby seemed a space not utilized much which is a shame because it has such stunning furnishings (maybe in Winter it has more use).

Our room was big, with a balcony (not so big) but with lovely water views.

We walked into town (20min walk) even though had car. Just the right distance to be close enough but still secluded.

Dining at Villa Asina was very memorable and the waiters wearing their bandanas and having the Dad and son working the tables together was endearing.

Providing complementary tea and cake at 5pm is another nice touch!

Room Tip: Relaxing, walking distance into town, best suited for adults.

I loved this hotel. It is beautifully located, close to the sea and designed with a love for cozy details. The service is impeccable, the owner a warm and kind person and the food very tasty. There is great care in everything about this hotel, so for me it was a very relaxing and beautiful experience. I keep recommending it!

me and my husband imagined about a relaxing and refreshing holiday for our summer vacation but it resulted in as a great disappointment..to begin with,we had decided to pick this hotel for its calm and silent atmosphere however since our room was in the first stage directly linked with the garden where people sit and chat, there were a lot of noise and also the curtains were almost transparent when you turn the lights on .. thus we could neither sleep nor sit in the light in the evenings .due to lack of good night sleep we couldnt rest enough . we told the manager about our complains but since there were no available rooms she couldnt help and we had to bear it with closing the windows .in addition the room was so basic,so simple that not even a refrigirator was included,i think the room is at the level of a clean three star hotel so price/performance ratio of the hotel is not that good.and also despite the hotel is far from the town (30 minutes walk under the burning sun) not even a simple shuttle was thought to help the guests.Lastly, the beachside closest to the hotel is not a beach with sands and umbrellas but a sea side full of grey rocks and stones so dont expect the sandy beach in datca like we had done.
positive sides:the manager was so warm so friendly, the guests are mostly decent english people, the decoration was great, the breakfast was good.but wasnt enough for us.

My wife and I stayed at Villa Asina during a month-long trip around Turkey in May. We should have stayed longer. The Datça peninsula is stunningly beautiful and the drive from Marmaris out the peninsula to Datça is one of the prettiest stretches of road that we saw in Turkey. The Aegean was to our right and the Mediterranean to our left, both as blue as blue gets. Villa Asina is on the south shore of the peninsula a mile or so beyond the little village of Datça. It’s a stylish boutique hotel where all the rooms (I believe) have small balconies and wonderful views of the sea. We were greeted very warmly by Arzu, whose very good English was matched with a strong desire to make you feel welcome. We were slightly ahead of the season and there were only a handful of people in the hotel. Our room was light and fairly roomy and very clean. The bathroom was small but modern and well equipped. The bed was moderately hard, even by Turkish standards. There was free Wifi but I had to take my netbook down to the lobby for it to work well. Arzu asked if we wanted dinner. We said that we did. We were the only people eating there that night. We told Arzu that we wanted fish, so she sent her assistant into town to buy some fish caught that day. The resulting dinner was excellent with a tasty mezze followed by a beautifully cooked fileted grouper. Waiting for dinner we swam in the pool and sat out admiring the views of the sea and the distant islands. It’s a place that you could easily settle into for several days. Hopefully we will come back and do exactly that.

My family of five stayed at Villa Asina last week. The hotel is lovely and the food was great, but the service was the best. Arzu, the manager, whose English is fluent, took great care of our family and went beyond the call of duty.

We stayed one week in this hotel

Here are our comments :

Postive :
Wonderfull sea view from almost all the rooms with a small nice swimming pool and garden in a quiet area with an access to a natural small beach

The team is very nice, especially the manager, that always tries to satisfy the customers.

Hotel is very clean.

Negative:
There is no elevator and if you are in the third floor it may be a problem. According to us an elevator should be added and could be in the back of the hotel. However the manager proposed us a room in the ground floor but these 2 such rooms have a direct access from the entrance that is not so convenient.

There is no fridge in the rooms. With more than 30°C outside it is a pity. Of course there is A/C.

Restaurant:

Cooker is a very good one. He made recipes as we never saw in Turkey before. However, according to us, it is a little expensive regarding usual prices in Turkey. Also we had to eat some extra cold starters whereas we did not order them. I think you have to be very precised for meal ordering if you do want to have some suprises

Location:
Hotel is not very close from Datça ( 5 minutes by car) . It is better to have a car in order to go to Datça, windsurf center ( 20 min ) or beach ( good one 2 min)

Globally we spent nice holidays in this hotel

My wife and I arrived at the Villa Asina after spending a rather hectic 2 days of our honeymoon in Istanbul and were looking forward to 4 long relaxing days of peace and quiet. We were not disappointed in this regard. We initially stumbled upon this hotel on some Turkish website and fell in love with the gorgeous photos of the hotel garden and pool overlooking the blue sea. Upon reading some good reviews of the hotel on TripAdvisor, we booked one of the large corner rooms through email & fax and found the hotel management to be very prompt and efficient in this regard. They were also kind enough to arrange a car to pick us up from Dalaman Airport. The driver was waiting for us when we got there and although the drive was quite long (2.5 hours), we were too caught up in the picturesque scenery and beautiful panoramas of the sea to notice it. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the wonderful Arzu, who spoke excellent English and made us feel very welcome and right at home. At every level, inside and outside, the hotel is designed and decorated with a great attention to detail and the owner evidently takes pride in adorning it with interesting and eye-catching handicrafts, wall hangings and furnishings. Each room has its own name and ours was a large corner room called the Turkuaz. It was tastefully furnished, cool and spacious, with a colour scheme that fully complemented the stunning view of the surrounding sea, hills and valleys. There was a small room at the entrance and a separate bedroom that led to a huge terrace with a gorgeous view of the sea (that we could not get enough of throughout our stay) and two comfortable sunbeds to enjoy it from. All amenities were provided, including free WiFi (albeit a little slow), air conditioning, cable TV, telephone, safe, and a large bathroom with an excellent shower. The refreshing breeze that blew continuously coupled with the view of the sea from the terrace made for a very relaxing effect.
The atmosphere at the hotel is quite different from the large hotels in the city, with everything here being very informal, easygoing and friendly. Although initially it may take a little getting used to, eventually you will find it fits in nicely with the mood and nature of the place. Most of the staff don't speak much English, however they are eager to assist you and can understand simple requests like if you need a bottle of water. If it is anything more complex, then they summon Arzu who deserves special mention for being especially accomodating, friendly and eager to make your stay a special one.
You have the choice of going into town for dinner, or staying at the hotel. If you wish to dine at the hotel, you just have to tell them whether you want fish, chicken or meat, and then at dinnertime you are served a large three-course meal especially prepared by them, along with drinks in the pretty garden by the pool. Breakfast and a five o'clock tea is also served in the same area. Again, dinner is quite informal and friendly with management mixing freely with the guests and there being no bill (with everything added to your total at the end when you checkout).
The town of Datca is 20 minutes walk away and the road is a little uneven with no footpaths. However half-way into the walk you can take a small trail that leads into the town along the sea. In the opposite direction from Datca, a 20 minute walk from the hotel leads you to Kargi Bay which has a nice beach for swimming and sunbathing, plus some good restaurants. There were more sights which we didn't get to see, such as the ruins of Knidos, some very old windmills, and a nearby olive farm from where the hotel sources its special shampoos.
Overall the hotel had excellent rooms with superb views of the sea and a well-designed garden and pool. Our favourite part: swimming for hours in the small secluded bay right next to the hotel and then climbing back up the steep stony steps to the garden for tea with Turkish pastries.
