This was our fourth trip to Dalyan and first stay at the Kilim Hotel and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are basic but are lovely and spacious and very clean.
The hotel is set in a great spot with the beautiful Riverside garden set directly opposite the Tombs.
This is the spot we decided to get married. I found Becky by chance on the internet and she couldn't have been more helpful. We talked by email and by Skype and she organised the perfect day for us, which we will never forget.
The hotel is also only a 5/10 minute walk into the town centre. It is such a relaxing place to take a holiday. The food on the Bbq night at the hotel was delicious as was the daily breakfast and any lunches we had.
Becky, Emrah and their staff couldn't have been more helpful. We travelled with a two year old boy and they were fantastic with him. Giving him lots of attention and even let him join in on one of the music nights. If you are looking for a hotel in Dalyan please try The Kilim.

The Kilim is an exceptionally friendly, family run hotel and has recently had some rooms upgraded to provide disabled-accessible bathrooms and showers. Many of the visitors are regulars contributing to the social nature of the place while impromptu music nights involving both staff and guests just add to the charm. The accommodation is fairly basic but very clean and tidy. Lunchtime and evening meals are available from a menu with lavish barbecue nights once or twice a week. Breakfast offers plenty of choice and there's a beautifully maintained pool. Part of the hotel adjoins the river giving great views of the rock tombs. Until we discovered the Kilim we'd never been to the same holiday destination more than once but now our visits have become a regular fixture on our calendar.

Room Tip: The 'riverside' rooms are a little smaller and less costly than the ones in the main hotel b...

3rd time at the Kilim and just as good if not better. Can't quite put my finger on it but this place is a little bit of Paradise. Perfect setting (best of both worlds with a gorgeous pool and bar area & over the road a riverside garden facing the tombs with its own jetty). Lovely food, great guests, large, comfy, airy rooms. Sigh - wish I was there now. Really wouldn't contemplate another hotel in Dalyan, and come to that, even though we've travelled the world we've never found a place quite like Dalyan - if we won the lottery we'd never leave. Roll on next year. Thanks again Becky & Emrah.

This was my first visit to Turkey and I think that Dalyan and the Kilim has set the bar extremely high - and difficult to match! The hotel is perfectly placed out of the main town and the 'boutique' style, laid back atmosphere and warm welcome cannot be overestimated.

The rooms are spotless and more than enough - who wants to spend time in the room when there is so much to see, do and enjoy.

Becky is the perfect host and as the other reviews have already said, she is so knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, nothing is too much trouble for her! Emrah, Mark and Huyla complete the fab 4 line up...

We did the jeep safari which is such good fun for adults as well as the kids - the wild west with water pistols - and the lunch venue is one of the best I have ever been too! I lost a pair of sunglasses jumping into the stream there and the drivers spent the next 15 mins in icy water searching for them and I hope the driver that hurt his toe jumping in to look for them has recovered... way beyond customer service!

I would also recommend the turkish bath - relaxing and kick starts the tan! Likewise, if like me your holiday is long awaited and much needed, I would suggest a massage on the roof terrace that Becky arranges. Whale music and wind catchers it isn't - but a deep muscle massage it is - and it took weeks back at my desk to get my shoulders in knots again...

What more is there to say.... the food at the hotel is fabulous and so fresh, the lunchtime tuna salad had to be my favorite and the chocolate milkshake was a daily fix for my 8 year old son. We ate out quite a bit and I can honestly say that we did not have a bad meal anywhere - all restaurants recommended by the Kilim.

Oh and if you like pomegranate the little corner shop sells a fresh and frozen small bottle that is amazing.

Becky, Emrah, Mark and Hulya, in the famous words of Arnie, we will be back!

Thanks again...

I first stayed at the Kilim in 2005, and have just returned from a wonderful stay there this September. They have not lost their touch, they genuinely love having guests to stay and welcome many old friends as well as make new ones. Rooms are spotlessly clean, simple but comfortable. Breakfast is leisurely in their shady garden, and delicious too; it's not the 'plastic' breakfast you may have experienced in other Turkish hotels. During the rest of the day, delicious light meals or a more substantial evening menu is available at a very reasonable price. Becky's menus are just right for the hot weather, and you must, MUST try their ice cream milk shakes! They sometimes have a BBQ evening or arrange other trips but they NEVER pressure you to join in, always remembering that it's your holiday, not theirs. The hotel is in a quiet part of town, but is only around 8 minutes walking distance from the centre. I was there for 10 days but it all went far too quickly. This is a delightful place to stay and would recommend it to anyone, especially if it's your first time in Turkey and not sure what to expect.

River rooms (away from the main hotel) are clean and basic, but the ambiance, service, food and stunning view of the river from the sun loungers suggest a far higher price than the modest cost of a week at Hotel Kilim. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed.

Becky (owner/manager) has a knack for customer service; a gift, even. She was available when needed and simply couldn’t have done more for us - although we think we are pretty low maintenance guests. When we asked about booking a sea kayak trip, she immediately had the phone in hand and arranged everything for us then and there. We spent a few days irritated at a comically loud creaking bathroom door. Silly us, as soon as we mentioned it, it was oiled in the hour.

When my girlfriend sat in tree sap which had dripped onto the bench outside our room and was endeavouring to scrape it off her shorts, Becky came over and insisted on laundering them. This is really above and beyond. Perhaps best of all, she sings, and well. Don’t miss the bbq/concert night – not only is the food superb, but we’d have paid good money anywhere else to hear Becky sing.

It's clear this is a return destination (and no wonder) with many guests accustomed to being around the pool and the bar – but the best spot is by the river. Directly across are the beautiful Lycian tombs, wonderfully lit at night. Flying fish, shooting stars, who’d sit by the pool? The highlight of our 2 week Turkey holiday was the days spent floating in the magically buoyant water, gazing at the tombs.

We went on from there to a ‘boutique’ hotel on the Princes Island, probably at about 7 times the cost of Hotel Kilim – our verdict? The breakfast there wasn’t half as good and more importantly, the service didn't come close to Becky and Emrah's relaxed, personal, caring professionalism.

There may well be a good reason, but perhaps the only small niggle was lack of a kettle in the room. The menu is excellent, the bar is well stocked and they operate an honesty policy so cold drinks and efes are continually on hand in a self-service way. We’re not really ‘returners’, much preferring to try new places for holidays, Hotel Kilim may well prove the exception, and we're already recommending it to our friends.
