6hrs too many!!! this hotel was awful!!!
Dirty and noisy!
the room me and my bf were in had mould growing up the wall, a bed that was broke in the middle and a view of a mud pit and trash.
Also the whole corridor echoes! we could hear the managers baby crying all night, constant doors slamming and people going to the loo next door!

The bathroom was unclean and smelt and there were bugs in the room!
I will be putting in a complaint to Thomas cook not to use this hotel as their departure hotel!
also the dinner they served was cold and soggy!

do not go here!!!!

Arrived at 5.30 ish, after dropping off a couple at another hotel on same day trip which looked much more appealing than here. (sorry) However, we tried to make the most of this very traditional hotel, and appreciate it for its uniquness. Aysel, the owner, and her family were very helpful and friendly, which made up for this. I just beleive that most brits expect too much all the time. Turkey is a poorer country and most people expect like for like all the time. I do however blame Thomas Cook for what could of been a more pleasant experience on our last night, and DO NOT BLAME the hotel nor its family themselves. Thomas Cook are just a Big Rip Off merchant and the whole experience with them was a big let down, from flight from manchester to landing in Manchester Airport, except for Chris J Kibbler, a Rep from Cettia Grand hotel/appartments, who was most helpful with a small issure we had, (apart from if there was a possibility of a choice of hotels in Daylan i would of tried to choose the alternative)..... as there are many hotels in Dalayan.
On check in - it was very fast and efficient, we had rooms 106 and 107, ground floor. as promised on return after our day trip the flight times were there and Aysel very helpful, polite and friendly again, and throughout the whole experience. the rooms were the same as each other, nice views of mountains in background and the balcony was lovely and quaint but couldn't sit out in the evening there, nor could my partner have a quick smoke out there as the mosquitos are a problem and i got bit several times in dalyan throughout the evening in the town and they even liked the owner Aysel too! sprayed the rooms with mossi prevention in the evening, dont know if this helped. I was the only one in the party of 4 who was bitten, however i was bitten in Marmaris too. A few are splatted on the walls but you don't notice this until evening when its a problem. If thomas cook are to continue with this hotel i recommend that they throw in FREE air conditioning and get them to lower the bar prices, 7 lira for effes is a rip off too, or if keeping to this price, one should be included on arrival at least... then you might be enouraged to buy more. There is no immediate competition anywhere so thats why they get away with this price. Towels are free and big, but rock hard - beware on burnt suntan lol !! Evening meal was served on time, and lovely too! you could help yourself to as much as you liked but drinks again are not free. We used the pool, the kids part is full of bits from the surrounding area and could at least be fished out with a net. the corners of the pool were in need of a bit of attention re: cleaning the floor of the pool, we didnt know this until after we had swam but several days later there have been no illnesses in the family. There is a trap door near the pool which was jarred open with a plastic chair.... Health & Safety awareness Thomas Cook? did you see this or stay here overnight?.... i dont think so. Obviously the area under it needed airing out or i dont think it would of been like this, it was closed later in the evening for dinner. I am only writing this as no-one else has noted it. As it was our last night we wanted to make the most of it and were recommended a bar restaurent Medusa, owned by her partner, we only sampled the food put on for us at the hotel as we didnt expect much so planned to eat out. however i would be happy not to (if there was a next time) as the food provided by the hotel was very tasty. We got a free lift to Medusa. I had creamy garlic steak, okish, 30 lira, my partner had steak and egg which he said was the best meal he had aten in the whole 2 weeks! and was very pleased, my son ate carbonara, which he loved, it was massive so he had to leave some but it was the closest i had seen to british/italian carbonara in the whole 2 weeks. Dont eat on the roof terrace outside as its a bit chilly and we were pestered by a stray cat (but we forgave it as we discovered it had kittens). I think Aysel spoke to them on the phone to say were were from the hotel so we could get a discount as we were greated by Onder, her brother. We didnt get a discount as we didnt like to ask at the end of the meal but i beleive we would of if we reminded them.
Sleep at Alinda at night?..... not a chance between the mossi's, the noises of stray dogs barking constantly and the noises from the whole hotel, you could even hear whispering from people trying to be quiet out of respect for others. Doors slamming, creaky wooden doors that you couldnt close quietly....
The bathroom, yes, like everyone states but if you improved it like putting a shower curtain up it would help but people would still complain so why improve it?.....
The person who ignored the rules no eating or drinking in the rooms because of ants, well you were warned ;-) you brought the ants upon yourselves! There notices up everywhere, for your comfort.
Our departure bus arrived for us a bit early, not a problem, (that is with the be ready half hour before advice!). we were not rushed along but hurried ourselves. A personal touch from Aysel who popped on the bus to say goodbye and thank you, meant a lot. Her grandson is soo cute and just as friendly, he adored my daughter who parted with a hat for him to grow into! Love to you all. sorry for the poor rating but i have highlighted what i thought neccessary, I hope you are making enough money from Thomas Cook, as they certainly are from us! hugs from Pam, Peter n family, Liverpool

This hotel was the one Thomas Cook left us at after a lovely triip to Dalyan. Up a spiral staircase (at least the suitcases were carried up for us) to our room which was awful. The room smelled terrible but fortunately there was a balcony so we could dry our towels following our trip to Turtle Beach and the Mud Baths and have a shower. This was our room from 5pm until our departure to the airport at 12.15. Admittedly, it was convenient, in that we weren't hanging around our hotel in Olu Deniz packed and ready to go, however, I do think Thomas Cook should reconsider putting people up here. The dinner at 7.00 was perfectly nice and the owners very friendly. It was just that the room and shower were awful. The tiny bin in the shower room hadn't been emptied and the whole room and toilet got soaked from the shower (wet room). I reluctantly put my head down on the smelly bed for a doze but couldn't sleep so went downstairs to the pool area/bar area/eating area (it was all the same place) and waited there until our coach came to pick us up to take us to the airport. I feel sorry for anyone staying here. The pool had an oily film on the surface and we ate off plastic tables and chairs. The view from the lower rooms was the back of a building which lots of rubbish scattered around so at least we were on the second floor and had a fairly decent view. Not to be recommended.

Room Tip: Don't have a room on the ground floor as your view will be the back of a building with lots of r...

Well, first time we stayed at Alinda on june 2010 when we had our trip over turkey with my wife. We are russian tourists travelling in Turkey by car. First time we liked hotel - small but comfortable enought to stay just for a night. and they fed us with a diner at 10 pm. The only thing - we did not find AC remote control, but weather was not hot and we fall asleep with out AC. I was surprised on morning AC is available for additional price. However diner was nice and owner was friendly to us.

On august 2011 we stayed again at the hotel with our child. This time they did not provide a diner telling us they will get us by car to a city center to their "partners" restaurant with a very good discount. What a fool we were - we would better go by our car of by foot. The restaurant was not very nice, prices was the biggest from the dozen of nearest caffes, and waiter looked badly at us when we ordered just one fish. And we were also surprised they did not do ANY promissed discount for us at all.
We returned to hotel by foot and prepared to go sleep. Room was very small, bathroom did not has a shower cabin and even curtain. AC stopped to work in 5 minutes. I turned it back and it stopped again and again every few minutes. After all we asked for help and they gave us next room. Without towels.
Okay. The bad thing was early checkout - 9 am. From other hand they suggested to have a boat trip with them at 10 am and we agreed. They assured boat trip will start 10 am and we will have a fun till 5 pm (with a lunch break at the restaurants) and we will be able to get a shower at the hotel and get our bags all in comfortable way. So we had a breakfast and was going to wait till 10 am for boat trip.... at the same time I asked them where can we find WC (toilet). Surprise! Guy said they do not have WC in the hotel and since we checked out from hotel we can not go back to room to use it. Very "comfortable" and "friendly" way! What should we do? That was the last drop. We left this unfriendly place and drove to Iztuzu beach by our car. Good thing we did not pay for their boat trip in advance.

We were dumped here by thomas cook when we "upgraded" to the dalyan departure but it was a complete waste of time and money (the tour included). I dont think you could get any worse a hotel. The bus went through the backstreets of dalyan and down a stoney track to the entrance. We had to humph the cases up a steep spiral type staricase with no offer of help. None of us could then get to the room because the corridor door was locked. When we finally did get in there were no towels in the room (we stole some froma cupboard in the hallway), we were not supposed to eat or drink our own food / juice in the hotel (like we did what they said). There was a double bed and pull out bed in 1 room and 2 small single beds in the other. The rooms were minging. The cup in the hotel was dirty - the bins hadnt been emptied and there were ants all over the floor. There were flea ridden cats n dogs following you everywhere when you tried to go a walk. We had previously been staying AI but now had to pay for all drinks and dinner was a joke - 1 main course - chicken thing and pasta and I dont have a clue what was in the other 3 dishes! Told dinner was 7-8. He never served anything till after 730 - and at that it was layed out on 3 small plastic tables by the poolside - which was also the bar, entertainment and reception area! No public toilets available - you had to run back and forth to your room - not much use with 3 kids on tow. Air conditioning units had been switched off so we couldnt use them, the walls were paper thin and the bathroom doors didnt lock. The bathroom was more a "wet room" - a shower head and hole in the floor, toilet and sink! We went here with the vue of getting an few hrs sleep before we flew home - I never slept! Too hot n stuffy n noisy. Wish we hadnt done this upgrade. We should have stayed on in Marmaris Palace hotel. We would happily have prefered to kip on the couches at our original hotel and have a 2hr bus journey than have gone here. Even the kids (ages 5, 8 and 9) hated this place/ day and thought it was a waste of time and money!

Room Tip: ask for a different hotel!

We were incarcerated here as part of the Thomas Cook Dalyan departure trip. We had had a lovely day at the mud baths and turtle beach and then we were dropped off at the Alinda and the lovely day ended. We were shown to room 103; only slighted smaller than a prison cell and slightly less comfortable however it was a million degrees hotter. Ok, we thought its only for 7 hours . We planned a shower, food and a sleep...well you know what they say about best laid plans.. first there was no actual shower just a shower head and a filthy drain in front of the toilet but we were hot and sandy so we gave it a go..the floor never dried out so everytime we needed the toilet we had to paddle holding on to the towel rail as it was so slippy. The food was served next to the pool.. an odd combination of chicken (?) stew, spaghetti and salads however it was quite tasty. Cell 103 was now like an oven, the air con unit taunted us from its off position on the wall. We opened the balcony door to try and get some air but this resulted in every flying insect in the area putting in an appearance. We were completely dripping in sweat, sleep was out of the question as the walls were paper thin and every noise in the hotel could be heard. We ended up sitting outside with our cases to wait for the airport coach which is what we were hoping to avoid in the resort and why we booked the trip in the first place. Thomas Cook have a nerve to market this place as a relaxing experience.. they have obviously never been near the place..
