We stayed at Villa ~Alycia for two weeks covering the end of ~July to very early August.
The first differentiation from other villas that we have stayed in in Turkey was the attention to detail by the owner: the price for the villa included both the transfers to and from the airport but also breakfast at a lovely restaurant in the delta area with loads of turtles etc to see.
The property is managed by Efa, a local man, who not only deals with the pool etc. but also runs a local restaurant. He is charming and a great source of local information. A welcome pack is provided.
The property itself is in great condition, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The pool is good and the outdoor furniture is excellent. There is lovely shaded patio for lunch, drinks, shade, card games etc. It is surrounded by low walls, however, we did not find privacy to be an issue.
Often in Turkey, access from a villa to the local facilities often involves a goat-like trek. Dalyan is truly on the flat and there is really easy access to the local restaurants, shops and other facilities.
Dalyan as an area is beautiful: the ruins of Kaunos overlook the town and the fields upon fields of pomegranate trees and the reed beds in the delta are awesome. We were not beach-focused however, it is worth a visit. I am sad that whilst my youngest son saw a logger head turtle scuba diving that not only did I miss this but also a larger ray as well.
Wi-fi reduced the normal angst from my kids regarding email access etc. Basically trouble free.
Lovely villa, great location, great resort, well run both from the UK and locally.
Finally, there is a stork nest on the local power pole - we though that we would not see the bird in mid summer but on our last night we were blessed with the stork spending the evening on the chimney of the adjacent property.
