This hotel is a beautiful and relaxing places to be. Beautiful pools and surroundings .
the staff are very friendly and are very helpfull!!
On the negative side the drinks are a bit pricey. roughly half of a pint of effes lager is
7 turkish lira which is roughly 2 quid!! all be it in all the bars around it was the same price
for a pint( big bottle),.The breakfast is very basic dont expect bacon or sausage etc!!
Pretty much if you dont like eggs or continental breakfast you have blown it .
So to sum up
I cant fault the place for surroundings, pools and staff and theres a bar about 5mins away that does cracing meals and full english ( for 3 quid) called the wishing well
Hamdi and Yavuz are two of the nicest guys you could meet

Room Tip: go for the rooms on the front of the hotel they have fridges the others dont

My partner and I returned from Calbis on the 29th July! We spent two weeks at the hotel and loved every single second. This was our first time to Turkey and we were both slightly apprehensive, however we need not be!! The hotel was just lovely. Rooms simple, but very clean and with a lovely balcony. We had a mountain view rooms first week and swapped for a pool view room for the 2nd. The hotel has beautiful gardens and the 3 pools are lovely and well kept.

The staff at the hotel are great, so helpful and kind. Ronaldo, Tom Cruise, Sultan and Smile all fab! Take such good care of you and ensure you have a great time.
The breakfast was lovely. Nice buffet selection of cheese, ham, hot food and cold. All just perfect. Evenings eating out in Dalyan was a treat! Beyaz Gul is the best restaurant we ate in, which plays jazz music and overlooks the river and tombs. Perfect for a romantic dinner.

The boat trips are all fab. Just remember to look for the boat to Ituzu beach which is a bus, and is only 10 lira PP return. Other boats will try to charge you 120 lira to go there for the day, however you really only need this water bus service. At the beach there are places to eat whihc sell good value food and drink. The turtle sanctuary is lovely and free to visit, very worth while.

Overall, an amazing holiday and we are trying to book our next visit now! We would highly recommend this as a destination, and had a lovely two weeks with lots to do and see!

Please pay it a visit!!!!

Room Tip: Ask via e mail before you go for a pool view room, however they are very accommodating when you get...

Just returned after our second visit to the Calbis. Everything just as we remembered and enjoyed last year, with the addition of a new adults only third pool. While on the subject of the new pool, I had seen on I think the travel forum, question asking for details. This pool is around 4ft 6" in depth and is ideal for those who are not strong swimmers or who like to feel their feet on the ground. It is the same depth throughout. There are about twenty sunbeds and the atmosphere around this pool is so relaxing. A good move. We can only echo the good reviews on Trip Advisor about this hotel. Both the staff here and people we have met in Dalyan itself, are so courteous and accommodating, we truly feel compelled to return, as it certainly has everything for us. Apart from Gokmen, we have frequently spoken to Ronaldo, Tom Cruise, Ebru and Aygun, and they really are an asset to the Calbis, as I am sure are all the other staff who contribute and work so hard to please guests. They all go the extra mile, which shows and which makes all the difference. Many thanks to you all.

Room Tip: Not all rooms as far as I know, have a fridge. You need to check first if you require one. We have...

Great holiday, lovely hotel, brilliant staff. Uwe were upgraded so thank you, new Adult pool is brilliant, lovely surroundings, breakfast was okay, the bar staff were all brilliant, the only negative was the cost of the Efes , no bottles only 0.3 litre at 7lira which equates to £4 per pint, I can buy the large bottles from my local Witherspoons for £2.65
Moan over
Overall excellent , I would def visit again

We have just returned from our 4th visit to Holiday Calbis and can honestly say it just gets better and Better.
Special thanks to all the staff who always look after you especially Ebru ( you are a diamond ) Ronaldo and new this year Tom Cruise. A big thanks also to all the other staff who I have not mentioned including the cleaners who keep the rooms clean on a daily basis.

Even bigger thanks to owner Gokmen who runs such an excellent hotel and made our wedding anniversary so special on the 18th July this year.

Breakfast was enhanced this year with Omlettes available plus Pancakes if you so wish plus a vast choice of other hot and cold dishes which vary every day.

We spent quite a few days chilling round the bigger of the 3 pools as this suited us better but you can use the other 2 if you wish, one of them being the newer " Quiet " one which seemed very relaxing and is for Adults only. Never once having a problem getting a sunbed.

We also went on the hotel's Boat trip with Captain Ali to Koycegiz and had another great day out.
Good to see the Free minibus into town still runs at 7pm every day and this year driven by Yildirin ( hope that's spelt right) who is very helpful and cheerful.

As I mentioned this was our 4th visit to the Calbis and the best to date and we will return.

Having been before we knew what to expect, so no real surprises. You can read my previous review for all the details and things you need to know if a first time visitor. For those returning for another visit...

What's new this year?

An extra swimming pool (their third) which is located at the back of the property between the third (C) block, to the rear of the villas and next to the big house. It is designated as the quiet pool for adults only. Also two new bungalows, located next to the main pool and Block A. Fountain removed from main pool giving more usable pool. Beanbags in garden. New BBQ located near the bar, weekly on Tuesday (booking required). Finally breakfast had improved with the pancake and omelette stations being present every day.

Every bit as good as previous visits. Relaxing, quiet (mostly), plenty of sun beds etc, great air con, fridge, very clean and tidy. Beautiful gardens and pools. Free bus into town at 7pm.

Bar food menu has changed; the smaller snacks are now all advertised with chips etc and obviously at an increased cost, so can't get a cheap lite bite any more. Personally I don't want a full plated meal for lunch, a simple sandwich is enough. Chips etc should be available as an option if feeling particularly hungry, like they were previously in my opinion.

WiFi was a bit patchy. Couldn't connect at times. Somewhat hit and miss, perhaps due to the increasing number of users? Had to ask several times for it to be fixed, each time it was quickly back up and running. When working it was excellent, and coverage is available throughout the entire site. Hopefully the reliability problem will be sorted out.

My only grumble... The second pool was at times overrun with noisy teenagers, some having no respect for anything or anyone. Frosch staff and the kids parents equally didn't seem to have any concerns about the impact on other guests, or the damage being caused to hotel property. Thankfully the group were out on trips for the vast majority of our stay. Supervision needed!

The storks were in residence again, nesting over reception with two young birds preparing for their first flight.

Finally, when out and about not too much has changed. A few places closed (Digby's, Dostlar, Jimmy's, Mr Kebab) and a few new ones opened (super fried chicken [empty], Heybe [poor], Blue Moon [great], Limon [great]). All the family run favourites (Yummy, Altin Tava, Firats, Istanbul cafe, Sevgi) still as good as ever. Nicest man on the door award goes to The Olive (formerly Mr Cook)!

Thanks to all the great friendly staff at Holiday Calbis. Remember, if you've a concern or problem (or as another reviewer mentioned they couldn't get their air con working)... just ask! Everyone is really helpful, and Avril (in reception office) speaks great English.
