“Beautiful, definitely booking again for next year”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2011

Hotel is spotlessly clean. Staff are polite, helpful and dedicated. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We stayed half board and the food was very good and there is a wide selection. Tables are laid out by the pool in the evening for dinner which is lovely. Garden area is very peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is close to the river and about a 10 minute walk to the town if you walk down the path by the river there are restaurants on the way if you want to stop for a drink. There is a river taxi in the town which will take you to the beach, we had trouble finding it at first as there are many boats moored up, there is a board by the taxi boat marked Public Boat. The beach is lovely, it is on the river delta and has a very natural feel to it as there are no hotels to spoil the view. The sea is warm and shallow, there is also a bar/restaurant, toilets/showers etc. and there are regular boat taxis to take you back. From the town you can cross the river where you will find the mud baths and an archaelogical site called Kaunos, you can walk to it in about 20 mins, there is an entrance fee of 8TL each but the cafe is outside of the site and there is no re-entry once you have left. All the merchants in the town are very friendly and welcoming and you will find a cafe by the rivers edge where the turtles and the fish will come up really close to feed and you can see the rock tombs. We were given a traditional Turkish farewell on departure by Moira who is lovely and always on hand at the hotel for help and info. On the whole this is a truly lovely hotel and resort and we will definitely be back next year.

After reading all the great reviews we were a little disappointed, the hotel itself is clean and the rooms a fair size, the pool and gardens are very nice, But there are things that could be better, the rooms are very very dark, so trying to do hair and yr evening make-up was a challenge and not sure what i looked like most of the week lol, the light in the bathroom was even poorer, The bed sheet was a problem also as it didnt fit the bed!!, and so we fought over the cover every night, the Air con units are on the balcony, so if one of you is in the room with the air con on and the other outside you get blasted with hot air(not good when its so very hot). We were on Half Board and thought it was very poor, breakfast was ok but the evening meal was not great in our opinion, food is very basic buffet style, you wont starve but by the end of the week the meal could be quite challenging, alot of the time the trays were empty and there was no rush to replenish the food, and if you didnt grab a desert, again most were not replenish. We did find the lovely little place on the river where you could feed the fish and ate there most lunch times, lovely, The location for us was too far out and the walk into town did take longer than most people say, its a good 15-20 mins walk and whilst being nice to walk along the river, in the heat was just too much, we walked into town in the morning's when it was cooler but couldnt do it twice a day( and we are not elderly or unfit), so if you intend to eat in town do cost in a taxi or 2.

Drink prices were 5 lira for a very small glass of efes which made it 10 lira for the normal size bottle you got most other places, 2 lira for bottle of water(very reasonable), and 35/37 lira for bottle of wine.

We are not new to dalyan this being our fourth visit, we personally would not stay at the alla turca again,

Stayed at the Tezcan in the past, which was fab, rooms are lovely and modern with the most fantasic river views, this would be our hotel of choice in future visits to dalyan

There are lots of people who clearly love the Alla Turca but it was not for us, dalyan itself however is still as lovely.

We ( mature couple + elderly friend) have just returned from a one week HB stay at the Club Alla Turca, Dalyan.
The Hotel is well situated, just a 10 minute walk along a well made path to the Town. The staff were very friendly, and it was clear that a large number of guests were return customers and we could see why. The lovely pool and grounds were well kept, as was the rest of the Hotel. The room, not huge, but clean and comfortable was serviced daily. The food was varied and well presented, even the fussy eater in the group, found plenty of choice.
It was delightful to be able to eat al fresco beside the pool area in the evenings.
The only downside was the mosquitoes that got me the first night,(probably worse at this time of year) but I protected myself after that with no further bites. We would have liked to have had access to pool towels.
We would definitely stay there again, it was quiet, relaxing and friendly.

The hotel is clean, tidy and is very beautiful. Drinks are pretty much same price as in the town which is a beautiful walk along the river. The staff are very friendly as are the locals, we felt very welcome from day one. We stayed half board and the food well it was superb, never any complaints, be warned though you pay for orange juice with breakfast and the sign is very small! That I would say is the only shocker of the holiday. Will be booking Alla Turca for next year, money very well spent :)

i booked this hotel after reading lots of good reviews, but for me the hotel did not match the reviews. The hotel maybe 4*by package holiday standards, but i would judge it as 2* when compared to international hotel chain standards. On the positive side the pool and gardens are very nice and the hotel is only a short walk to Dalyan. The pool bar staff were excellent and good fun, however the reception staff were not helpful and a complete waste of time.Breakfast at the hotel was an ordeal as i had to queue for everything and the staff were slow to replenish food, drinks and cutlery.Housekeeping was poor and the ground level rooms are painted orange and green making the room dull. The beds are rock hard and for me very uncomfortable. Overall the holiday was ok but i will not be going back.

We stayed here for the first week in September. Weather still very hot - late 30s every day and we heard it had been the same since June. At £400 per person including flights from Thomas Cook we thought it was fantastic value. I had heard that the Bay Window rooms were worth going for so I emailed the hotel the week before and for an additional £70 (between us) we were able to upgrade.

Its a really nice looking hotel with lots of well maintained gardens and a very gool pool area. Our room was very nice with a great view of the pool and the surrounding hills. Breakfasts were very good with lots of choice and all the staff were very friendly and helpful - the English lady who works for the hotel in guest relations - moira - was very good.

Hotel has free WI Fi which was a very pleasant surprise as we took an IPAD but never thought we would be able to use the internet for free (which helped when checking out trip adviser restaurant reviews!)

Our favourite restaurants were Ramazan Han and Saffron which were both a cut above some of the more touristy places. Dalyan itself is lovely with lots of things to do, great boat trips out to sea or the lake, the mud baths, Turkish Baths, etc etc

We don't normally like to go back to the same hotel or resort again as we prefer to go to new places. However, we will go back to both Club Alla Turca and Dalyan as both were so good.

The hotel is such good value for the money, Dalyan is very nice and very affordable and the people are all very friendly. Great for couples or familys and so many people seem to go back year after year.

Room Tip: Worth paying the extra £10 per day to upgrade to a bay window room - just email hotel before hand to...

The Club Alla Turca is a fantastic family friendly hotel close to the riverside in Dalyan. The centre of town is a short 10 minute walk along the well lit and paved path along the river bank.
We walked back from town late at night and felt very safe. Dalyan does not have any discos and young peoples bars and therefore attracts families and caters very well with music bars, restaurants of all standards and very friendly locals.
The rooms are very well appointed and clean.
We took the Dolmus bus to Fethiye and found it very convenient, cheap and good quality. Our Dolmus was newish and air conditioned. We also took some tours.
We went on a Gullet (boat) tour of the twelve islands. An air conditioned mini bus collected us from our hotel and took us to the port 15 minutes away. We boarded the boat and set off. There were 12 of us on the boat. They sold drinks and ice creams on the boat. They stopped at each island and you could jump in and have a swim. Half way through they anchored up and barbecued lunch with some very tasty Turkish side dishes and salads. Very delicious. We concluded the sail at about 1630 and our mini bus was waiting to take us back to our hotel. Very inexpensive and great quality. The scenery was stunning.
We went on a two day tour to Ephysis and Pamukkale. This was a fantastic cultural tour of the Roman Ruins in Ephysis and the Ephysis museum. This was followed by and overnight stay in a good 3* hotel in Pamukkale, dinner with entertainment, breakfast the next morning followed by a visit to the ruined Roman city of Hierapolis and the hot white Travetine pools. A very memorable two days at a very low price. The entry tickets, meals, hotel, transport and guide were all included in the price. Fantastic value.
The markets were good fun with the bartering on price and the plethora of copy designer labels. Good quality most of them.
We would highly recommend this hotel and Turkey.
Turkey is still cheap. Visit it before they join the Euro :-)

Room Tip: All rooms are the same. A room away from the pool area if you want some peace and quiet during the d...
