The hotel was beautiful, very clean,I would recommend a suite as it was so roomy. the pool was really big and never busy, plenty of sunloungers set in a beautiful location overlooking the lycian tombs and the pine clad mountains with the river flowing past.
The staff were pleasant although there was a strict rule not to bring your own food or drink into the hotel. the linen was changed daily and rooms cleaned.
The resort itself was really , really beautiful, plenty of boat trips fantastic restaurants. We stayed bed and breakfast so we ate at a different restaurant every night and couldn't fault any of them, top class food and service. A very relaxing holiday, hired bikes which was brill and we got a rowboat over to Caunos, the ancient ruins, very atmospheric, lots to do and see.

A truly lovely holiday, very nice hotel, small and friendly. A fantastic setting on the Dalyan river, like The African Queen! Wonderful Roman ancient 400b.c. city in Caunos a mile opposite the hotel across the river, well worth going to. We walked miles daily through forested hills and little villages and farmland. The staff are extrremely friendly and helpful, especially Ali, everyone hotel should hire one like him, an amazing fellow, hard working, helpful and genuine, lovely man! The food is lovely, especially starters and desserts. The only problem were their rules about bringing in your own food and drinks, as sometimes you required a lot of water, and clearly had to sneak in it! Had the hotel charged a reasonable amount, this would not have been a problem!

We have stayed here many times and we are never disappointed. This visit was no exception. We cannot fault the rooms or the staff who work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. We think, the food is excellent with plenty of choices.

However, we are always disappointed by the lack of attention to detail in the dining area. Although dinig room staff is attentive to customers' needs, fundamental operations seem to be neglected or overlooked; too often cutlery or crokery or milk etc have not been replenished. On this occasion we were a little later than usual to sitting down for dinner and noticed that desserts were mostly finished with little choice left. Be sure to get there early!

We appreciate the investments in the beautiful gardens and the hotel boat. We feel the facilities are well worth special category status. Fortunately the sloppiness in the dining room does not prevent us returning year after year.

Dalyan is worth a visit. Lovely area, peaceful countryside, birds and wildlife in abundance. Majestic and busy riverside with mountainous backdrop. The locals are truly glad to see you and are really friendly and hospitable. This hotel is very nice but really could do with leadership. The reception staff need to up their customer service and welcome. Head in the computer at all times!. The restaurant also needs a maitre'd to direct operations. Pool area great. Absolutely zero entertainment and no-one around at night - the action being a 10 min walk down the town's strip. Take a boat trip either to the beach or the lake and take in a mud bath combined with a sea bream lunch at Jimmy's place. The local restaurants ALL offer exactly the same food, ALL average - definately not a gourmand's paradise. Stick to fish and lamb.

I am a very fussy traveller (ex travel agent) and always feel slightly apprehensive that my chosen holiday hotel will not live up to expectations - thankfully I need not have worried about the Dalyan Resort. The staff at the hotel tried so hard to look after all of our requirements and we never waited long for anything. The food was good (not fantastic) and the half board option for bed and breakfast guests was very reasonable - the starters and sweets were particularly nice! The setting was gorgeous with the only slight negative being that the walk into town although easy was not the most picturesque of routes. I would go back again - that's a compliment

Beautiful property. Lovely large pool with a nice view of the tombs. At night this area is the setting for the buffet dinner which was included in our rate. Very good-not great food. Breakfast also very good. Wonderful walks to town on one side of the river. Boats stop at the hotel and go to the great beach. finally , a rowboat takes you across the river to a wonderful trail under the tombs, in one direction, and to the Roman city in the other. One caveat: book the junior suite. That was great. I've heard the regular rooms are very small. This is a compact really nice resort. i didnt see anything comparable in the town.

We spent a few days at the Dalyan Resort and loved it. The hotel was "spot on".We stayed on half-board and had dinner beside the pool of an evening and then walked into town (along a dusty road so forget the stilletoes!).The gardens are lovely with lots of quiet areas with plenty of loungers and swing seats. The rooms are well appointed and spotless.Great view of the rock tombs, and Kaunos is just across the river- Ali rowed us across in a little boat and picked us up later! No entertainment in the hotel but that would be out of place in such a wonderful setting. All in all we had a first rate holiday and would recommend it.
