The hotel is set in lovely gardens by the "river" in Dalyan. (It's not really a river but a channel between lake and sea.) For watching the wildlife and the many boats go by and relaxing with a good book in the sunshine it was marvellous. Kingfishers abound.
It's best to take a B & B deal as there are many restaurants in the town to choose from even though the food at the hotel was excellent.
Take some boat trips to see the lake,(It's possible to swim in it on some trips) the ruins at Caunos, the beach, the turtles and the mud baths. We chose to have one week in Dalyan and a second by the sea so we weren't worried that it was not on the sea. If you want the beach then it's a 20 min boat trip or a walk to town and a dolmus.
The hotel pool was a decent size so that you didn't have to swim round in a tiny circle. The room we were given was upstairs and was very big with an amazing bathroom but no balcony which was the one disappointment. No upstairs rooms have balconies. We would definiyely go back for a week again even though we love swimming in the sea.
