Arrived at the resort early evening for a week away with my Mum (in her 70s) full of trepidation having booked online. What a relief and delight to find this tranquil oasis so close to so much. richly planted gardens exploding with flowers and pomegranates, alongside the river and with such splendid views of the tombs surreally carved into the facing hillside. Candlelit dinner tables and smiling staff greeted us, and the same team looked after us for the week thereafter. The owner of the property is present on most days, and as with all owner-operated sites (versus the big chains) the team, even at this end of the season when they must be sick of the sight of the tourists, are helpful in the extreme.

Our room was fresh and clean with a small terrace onto the glorious gardens (ask for block 3 if you can - away from the pool, and if you can stretch to a ground floor 'suite - do - you have the private outdoor seating space) and the bathroom small but more than adequate, with a huge walk-in shower. The following morning it just got better. Customer relations manager Ercan ('eric') was fulll of shmooze and keen to sell all sorts of trips, but behind his marketing front was a hugely helpful and kind persona, particularly when it came to my Mum, and we know from experience and talking to other guests that his 12-islands day out on a lovely Turkish Gulet was significantly better experience than the equivalent offer from tour operators, and worht the few pounds more. The pool is delightful, helped hugely by the delightful pool attendant Ali - a gentle soul for whom nothing was too much trouble. The ride down the river to the beach was itself a treat.

The beach was splendid but frankly we were happier by our pool in peace. we booked half board - breakfast was plentiful as was dinner - not exactly cordon bleu but generous and tasty and for the money, exceptional value for money which makes the occasional dinner in town very affordable. It's a good 15 minute stroll into Dalyan, but it is on the flat so no effort at all, and for those seeking 'sights' there's a lot to do in the area,, from archaeological sites to feeding turtles. Would definitely return here with my husband, and I know my Mum will go back at the first opportunity,

The hotel setting is very beautiful, directly at the river, opposite hills and the ancient rock tombs; plus its garden is lush and very well looked after, with much use of natural material making it a tranquil and relaxed place to hang out. It is a good 10 minute walk to Dalyan centre which helps maintain a peaceful atmosphere (a taxi, if you are feeling lazy or it is too hot to walk was 7 TL). Around the pool and bar it feels more lively as music is almost constantly played - and note you can request but not be guranteed a garden or poolside room, and there are far fewer gaden rooms available. The staff are almost all very friendly, professional and helpful and all usual services are available eg laundry, daily pool towels etc. The food is very good - we had breakfast and lunch there every day and dinner twice and did not find better food in any of the restaurants in town (though it is nice to have a change of scene and watch the huge turtles). We had a garden suite which consisted of 2 adjoining rooms which we found a bit small and dark. The bathroom in the middle is also very small but has a large and excellent shower. The mattresses were a little worn - we could feel the springs - but all in all the rooms were fine, with plenty of storage, a safe and spotlessly clean. Minibar prices and generally prices were very reasonable - the hotel is excellent value for money. We did not try the resort's Turkish bath but used the free shuttle to the wonderful nearby beach and the boat across the river to visit Caunus - wow! Other guests were mainly from Britain, plus some German, Dutch, French and Turkish - mainly couples with perhaps 20% families (early September). Transfer to the airport is by airconditioned minivan - though make sure you get dropped off at the correct terminal - we had to run with luggage through blazing sun over car-only roads after being dropped off at wrong one ...

We had a fantastic time at the Dalyan Resort and cant understand why it isn't higher up the Tripadvisor rating system! I hope this review does its bit to help the Dalyan Resort as we really loved it and having seen all of the other hotels in Dalyan it really holds its own.

We paid about £40 a night B&B with Travel Republic and were very impressed by the genuinely 4/5 star facilities at the hotel for such a low price. The hotel has a nice atmosphere - English, German, French, Dutch and Turkish tourists all seem to love the hotel and lots of people told us they were returning year on year. The pool and sun lounger area is beautiful, the gardens stunning and beautifully kept, and the overall atmosphere very chilled out. What's also nice is that the staff leave you to it and dont bother you unless you want their assistance - for us this was perfect.

The breakfast is ok, nothing amazing but plenty to keep you going for a week's holiday and the dinner atmopshere looked lovely (but we never ate in the hotel, preferring Dalyan)

Overall this is 5 star relaxation in a beautiful location for a great price, highly recommended.

Went with work collegues for the weekend - the place has a very relaxed atmosphere and the rooms are homely and nicely air-conditioned. Despite some of our group being rather rowdy, we were well looked after by the resort team. We took advantage of their boat service to the beach, which was amazing, and of course the resort swimming pool (with pool bar, open until 2am), which was a dream on the very hot Summer weather.

we arrived at this hotel worn out and with two teenagers who tend to be a bit too cool for school. within an hour we had all relaxed and were having fun. The pool is fabulous and the setting is so beautiful that it is almost unreal with he rock tombs the glorious light and the river. The rooms are totally practical and comfortable and the half board deal is great value. Unlike a previous reviewer we found that we got to know lots of people of all ages around the pool. There was a posse of teenagers -mainly girls - and our 2 had a fantastic time. We were only here for a week but left totally revived and relaxed -only wish we had booked to stay for longer.

Just spent 2 weeks at Dalyan Resort Hotel. Beautiful setting by the river. Pool side staff very helpful but not those at reception. If you want peace and quiet then this is the spot for you. On the otherhand there's no opportunity to interact with other guests unless your kids happen to play with theirs. A tedious hotel with an average menu and an overbearing guest rep. However, Dalyan itself is a great tourist destination and will definitely go back but will not be staying at the Resort Hotel!

We have just returned from 8 lovely days at the Dalyan Resort Hotel.
Arriving at Dalaman Airport at 10.30pm how lovely to see the resort mini bus was waiting and very quickly we were on our way.

Upon arrival the reception staff were very helpful and we were shown our room.
We had a suite in the garden side of the hotel.
The room was a good size and we had 2 terraces, each with a table and chairs.
Our room overlooked the gorgeous gardens ,they were lovely so well looked after.
We also had a lovely view of the rock tombs, which at night were illuminated.
The hotel has its own boat that goes to the beach every other day, so we took advantage of this. This was a free service that they offered.
The pool was huge and we never had a problem getting sun beds, towels for the pool were also provided.
Must give a special mention to Ali he was lovely and was so helpful,he always made sure you had a parasol and would put it up for you if that was what you wanted.
His English was really good, we really should learn more Turkish !!
The hotel operates a cash free zone so everything is charged to your room, the prices are a little more expensive than in Dalyan itself but the surroundings were worth it.

Our stay included return transfers to and from Dalaman and after 8 days we moved to a Villa in Dalyan and the hotel agreed to pick us up from the Villa and take us to the airport at the end of our holiday , which all went very smoothly . Thanks to Riza for helping us with that.

We took advantage of the wireless Internet, that was good being to email home.

Overall a lovely holiday and we would definitely return to this hotel
