“Charming and Unspoilt”
Reviewed May 17, 2014

The Iz Cafe may be tricky to find but it is worth seeking out. Far from the commercialism of some areas in Dalyan, this hidden gem offers a charming and unspoilt side to the town.

The cafe has seating outside, and inside the building itself houses a gallery packed with works of art by Turkish artisans and painters. The cafe serves up a good range of snacks and cakes, all of which looked superb. (I had the strawberry muffin with ice-cream.) The impression is one of homemade, lovingly prepared food combined with a cosy and characterful ambience.

“Gorgeous cake!”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

It took some finding but well worth it. Saw a little bit of the old Dalyan whilst searching. Spent some time looking around the Gallery, spoilt ourselves with gifts and pictures, then sat in the little garden eating scrumptious cake. Definitely worth finding.

“Cake, cake and more cake!”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

What a wonderful find. On our first visit to Dalyan we only managed to visit on one day. This year however, we went for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pomegranite juice and CAKE. Don't hesitate though as what you fancy one day is replaced by something just as scrumptious the next. A very nice place to stop off before and/or after you have been to the beach.
Lovely, friendly owners and ladies who serve who will answer any queries about Dalyan if they can. Excellent art and trinkets to be purchased. Also a book exchange (1TL) or buy (5TL) an excellent find. A friendly dog completes the picture, notices ask you not to feed him, but I don't think he can read the english signs and his pleading eyes make you feel very guilty as the last crumbs disappear into your own mouth! Survival packs for the airport, very good value for money.
Seek this place out, it is well worth it and not too far from the centre. Next door wonderful wood carvings are being created. Enjoy next time you are in Dalyan.

“An Oasis”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

If you ever visit Dalyan in Turkey, be sure to visit this quaint tea shop and gallery. We have been going to this part of Turkey for many years but only recently discovered this calm, cool little restuarant. A mixture of British and Turkish atmosphere, the food is superb. The owners, Freddy and Louise, will make you feel very much at home.
