“Super Spa Hotel - Delightful”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

A friend and I started our beach holiday with a 2 night stay in Dalyan between the 2-4 September 2012 and chose the BC Spa Hotel as it looked extremeley appealing in all the information we found online.

I have to say that we were definitely not disappointed at all! The hotel offers chalet type accommodation and we were lucky enough to have a room on the ground floor right next to the swimming pool.

The hotel is also in a very good lacation and next to the River. A short walk into town and the marina where you can take a boat along the river to see Kunos, Turtle Beach and also visit the thermal mud baths if you so wish.

The hotel is very eco friendly with the chalets being made of wood and solar panels being used throughout.

We stayed half board - the breakfast included traditional Turkish cuisine, cheeses, meats, olives, tomatoes and cucumber - and also a varied hot dish either boiled eggs or scrambled egg/ cheese pancakes.... there was also breads, honey, jams, fresh fruit, juice, tea coffee and various cereals to choose from.

The dinner you could choose from the set menu up to 30 Turkish Lira, which we did - a soup, salad, main, desert. We chose a yoghurt and mint soup which was very nice, our salad did not arrive and there was slight confusion with our main meal, my meatballs arrived but my friend ordered something and got something completely different. Also our desert did not arrive so we questionned this and it then Tiramasu promptly arrived. The restuarant was not that busy so service should have been more prompt - this minor hiccup however, did not take away from the enjoyment of our stay.

The room rate also included use of the Spa Facicilites at the hotel, which are very good, clean and up to date. Sauna, Steam Room, indoor swimming pool, relaxation area, fruit bar, and Turkish Bath (Hamam). It does say that Turkish Bath is included however, you do have to pay for a set treatment if you want the full works, soap down, face mask, 20 minute massage etc. It is well worth paying for this as it's such a lovely relaxating treatment at the start of any holiday.

Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel as it was very clean, tidy, staff helpful, modern, luxurious, comfy beds, great power shower, Fantastic!

Room Tip: Ask for a poolside room.

We stayed here from the 9th June to 18th June and couldn't have been made more welcome. The hotel was in beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle but within short walking distance to the town centre. My wife is blind and the manager Umut Kovanci made sure that our every need was catered for. His attention to detail ensured that we had one of the nicest holidays we had for years. The staff were always exceptionally helpful going the extra mile. Whilst we there we had no complaints about food. The rooms and communal areas were spotless and always well maintained.

We would reommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday and we will be going back as soon as we can.

Great location & high quality room with cotton bedding, quiet air-conditioning & modern bathroom. The spa was great & the one massage treatment I had was brilliant if a little intense. Good indoor pool which was a welcome retreat from the sun. Unfortunately what let the hotel down was the lack of atmosphere & welcome from the staff [in stark contrast to another hotel we stayed at] + the breakfast was poor given the hotel is billing itself as a healthy spa - the fruit juice was not fresh & served in a cracked jug + no explanation from the waiters - we later learnt that pancakes + other cooked stuff was available but knowledge of this involved telepathy! I suspect this hotel is new & hasn't worked out it's identity yet. It just wasn't a v authentic Turkish experience - the staff need to learn to smile more & to interact with the guests.

Staying at this hotel with our young kids was the best decision we made before going on holidays. The rooms are lovely and the fact that they are in 2 levels allowed us to put them to bed and still be able to continue with our lives. The bar next to the pool serves great salads and the pool itself is the cleanest we have ever seen.
As per the tiele or my review, we found the staff at the hotel were some of the nicest and caring people we have ever met on holidays to the point that the General Manager personally drove us to the Hospital one evening when our little girls was unwell. The spa facilities are also recommended.
Location wise, it is only 5 minutes walk to the center of town but it really isn't noisy and you forget how close it is when you are in it!
Thanks again to the staff at this hotel, you made our stay very memorable...

After falling in love with Dalyan last year and visiting the BC Spa for treatments we promised oursleves that we would push the boat out and book to stay this year. We were met by Umut and Mehmet and they were so accommodating bearing in mind we arrived very late! We stayed in the riverside suite which was perfect for time we were there from 21st May-1st June 2012 - very large bed, jacuzzi, balcony, living area with fridge and terrace. The spa facilities and gym are just superb and we took advantage of them regularly. Met some wonderful people and as it was my birthday whilst we were there Umut, his team and our new friends certainly made it very special for me - beautiful and tasty cake :-) My only gripes were: even though we booked directly with the hotel, we were not made aware that there were building works going on which didn't lend itself to a quiet relaxing holiday; ask exactly what else is available for breakfast apart from what is laid out in the morning - we didn't realise omelettes were available until a few days in; some of the waiters need a bit more customer service training. I understand that the building works are now complete and I am sure it all looks amazing! As with other comments, hopefully the management have noted these and will address them. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would certainly go back to the BC Spa. Thank you Umut, Mehmet and team. Deborah & Mark

Myself and my partner visited the hotel from the 7th to the 21st of July 2012 and had a fantastic holiday.

Umut, the hotel manager was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed and always had time to chat when we bumped in to him around the hotel.

Mehmet the bar manager was a great host and we had many laughs and jokes with him, he really is a star!

We stayed in a duplex room overlooking the pool, the room was excellent and exceptionally clean, the maids often leaving our towels arranged to look like butterflies which was very cute. The bed was very comfortable and the downstairs living room area very relaxing. Having a small fridge in the room came in handy too.

The spa facilities are amazing we spent a lot of time pampering ourselves and even had some treatments which were great and very reasonably priced. The restaurant served very well prepared and tasty food, we stayed room only but the breakfast looked good as well.

They are currently expanding the hotel but the work did not disrupt our holiday one bit.

We will definitely be returning to BC Spa!

Thanks! From Caroline and Nicola.

We stayed 12 nights in the BC SPA hotel in Dalyan. It's a nice, luxurious looking hotel with ditto facilities. The concept is to offer guests a relaxing holiday on a family level in a beautiful natural environment (including frog concerts). The wellness section which you, as a hotel guest can make free use of, is fantastic. The pool is beautiful with perfect swimming water (salt and just little chlorine). The prices for the rooms is in the more expensive segment (high season). We had the standard double room at the pool side. The room was a bit small, but with more than enough storage space and it had a nice bathroom. The private terrace, next to the room gave us a feeling of extra room space because the weather was good and you stayed outside most of the time anyway. We had 2 1-person box springs of good quality and a refrigerator in the room which was a bit noisy. As you had to lay your head next to it, it was not pleasant. The hotel is still 2/3 under construction, with an additional pool. It should be finished by end of this year with a total of 67 rooms. I hope they can continue the concept, which was the reason for us to choose this hotel. The hotel has great potential, but the right people have to take it out.
A few things that definately should be improved:
- The (waiting) staff in the restaurant was nice and friendly, but spoke little or no English, which was sometimes quite frustrating.
- The restaurant is not one of the best. Here is much to improve to get it up standard.
- The policy to give access to non-residents for using the swimming facilities in a hotel like this is not appreciated.
