Me and my girlfriend stayed here in JULY 2011, but I only joined TripAdvisor earlier this year and I'm doing this as a retrospective.

Service: fantastic, fun, friendly.
Rooms: lovely, comfortable, very clean and obviously cared for.
Pool: great for relaxing swims.
Location: Stunning. Set on the quiet and idyllic riverbank, great views of the spectacular scenery, 10 minutes away from the main bustle of Dalyan but that makes a huge difference. Dalyan itself is a gem in Turkey.
Food: Everything we tried was great, and look out for the salt-baked sea bass!

I'd recommend this for just about anyone, couples, small groups of friends or solo travellers, but it may not be the best place in Dalyan for families with young children. Everyone else though...

Sorry this is short, but look - 63 out of the 65 reviews (at the time I write this) are 4 or 5 stars, and two thirds give it all 5. That speaks for itself. Visit when the weather is likely to be good and you won't be disappointed. We went in July 2011 and we'll definitely be back at some point.

Room Tip: If you want a little bit of privacy, choose a first floor room, as the ground floor baclonies are situated close to the pool.

Where do I start! Just returned from a 2 week holiday and will book again for next year. So pleased we found this gem of a hotel.
Staff-Hayder the barman worked so hard. He is such a kind and thoughtful man, nothing was too much trouble for him. Thomas, Nuri and all the kitchen staff were also very friendly and helpful.
I was nervous about taking my 4 month old son but everyone was very helpful and all the staff would always stop for a cuddle and chat with him.
Looking forward to see you all next September with a much more active little boy. Hayder, you promised to babysit! Mert- same rooms next year please!

Hello to all the family and staff at Hotel Calypso plus! We have just returned from a week away and had an amazing week relaxing in Dalyan, now a strong contender for my favourite place on Earth award thanks to it being an area of outstanding natural beauty in landscape, food, people and culture.

Thank you for the most amazing holiday, we will be highly recommending the hotel and area to family and friends. We had a great time and we are very grateful to everyone there for making it so unforgettable.

We were warmly welcomed all week by the family and staff and being able to rest and recuperate around the riverside, the bar, or the stunning jetty a stone's throw away from the restaurant, bar and pool area, was the perfect base for everything we wanted for our holiday. Everything was clean, stylish, well designed and well maintained at the Hotel.

We meandered around the hotel, town and harbour and took several boat trips around the watery mountainous area between Köyceğiz market, Lake Köyceğiz, down the Dalyan river to İztuzu Beach (which is a world site for Caretta turtles who nest on the smooth sandy shore to lay their eggs at around midsummer. I dont know precisely as Im not a scientist, probably a good idea if you check that with a turtle expert or summink init.). Aside from the turtles, there is an abundance of other incredible wildlife to view, as the river is clean and fresh, and the land is lush and fertile.

Thank you everyone at Hotel Calypso Plus, we miss you already! teşekkür ederim!!!

We have just returned from 2 amazing weeks at the Calypso Plus and couldn't fault it at all. The staff all made our stay perfect from start to finish especially Haydar the barman, Thomas the chef, Nuri and Ismail (sorry if the spellings are wrong). Merte and his family couldn't do enough to help at all times and also took the time to chat to us at the bar and we were made to feel special.

The location is excellent, set right on the river and we had our breakfast each morning (at the same table) on the hotel's jetty watching the boats pass by and checking out the wildlife in the river.

On the second night of our stay we went on the moonlight boat trip that was arranged by the hotel and I can honestly say it was the highlight of our holiday. The food was great, the scenery was magnificent and the company was brilliant. We were lucky enough that there was a full moon that evening and travelling up the river with the stars up above was the most magical thing.

The rooms were always kept really clean and on many occasions when we arrived back to our rooms the ladies had arranged our bed with flowers.
We ate the hotel on several evenings and Thomas went out of his way to provide us with excellent meals, especially the fish cooked in salt which was recommended to us.

All in all I can say this was a holiday to remember and the hotel, staff, location and scenery were all fantastic.

Our second year coming to Dalyan. Last year we stayed further along the river and walked past the Calypso every time we walked into town. On our last day we went to look round and decided we'd try to get in next time we came here. So glad we did. The staff are all absolutely charming and extremely helpful. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and it's lovely to see the owner around, siting by the pool/bar as if he was one of the guests. Breakfast is basic and fairly limited but a cup of tea, yoghurt and honey, some menemen ( and one of the bananas we brought ourselves from the Saturday Market) suited us fine. Our only reluctance in posting a good review is we want to be able to come back again next year, and don't want too many people to know about this wonderful place.
