“Great food who needs a menu!”

You've got to give Ali baba(Taffy's) a try, really great food,at a fair price,he won't let you order to much,he says he doesn't want to be rich!
When you go in and sit down, and order your drinks, they will bring you some homemade bread and some garlic butter, then he will take you to the chiller cabinet and tell you what's on offer,I had the liver with 3 meatballs,20 lira ish, great value, one of the best meals I had in Dalyan, give it a try you won't be dissapointed.

“Taffy is unique”
Reviewed July 15, 2013 via mobile

We have been going to Taffys for food since we first came to Dalyan at first because of his links with the Author Mal Peet. However we return every time simply because his food is the best and he's such a gem. He says he's retiring in a few years tho so best not to delay.

“God food”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

We found this place as we left the Natural Paradise, and decided to try it the next night. Glad we did. The food and the service was excellent. No menu, you just go and choose what you want. Well worth a visit.

“Lovely food”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

The first time we ate at Taffy's was in 1994. His food has always been good and we have had brilliant times at Ali Babas. If you are visiting beautiful Dalyan (lucky people) I would have no hesitation in recommending Taffy's as a lovely and characterful place to eat.

“Taffy's Place (Ali Babas) - One of the best!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Ali Babas. Get there early. Everything is cooked fresh to order (there is no menu), Taffy, the owner (who lived in Wales for a few years), will take you up to the chiller display cabinet and talk you through the options. We had the last of the whole fillet (chateaubriand), which was totally yummy. Portions sizes are generous, the chips are some of the best I’ve had anywhere! The head chef is (I believe) the only female head chef in Dalyan & clearly knows her stuff. The bread & butter ‘hors d’oeuvres’ doesn’t sound like much, but the bread is like a roll rather than the more popular ‘puffy’ flatbreads on offer in many other restaurants and the ‘butter’ is a mix of garlic, butter and something else (possibly a very soft cheese?) that is utterly divine, by far the best we’d had compared to all the other places. Taffy is a gracious host, he pretty much embodies the ‘no hassle’ claim of many other places. Other than the fact that it can be a bit hard to find, there really is very little to say about this place that is negative, and even that is probably a positive since the people that go there, tend to intend to be there, so you don’t get loads of wandering passers by. Taffy is deeply proud of his reputation and rightly so, he doesn’t need to beg people to come and eat, he just waves at them and smiles, if they eat, he’s happy, if not, he shrugs and smiles at the customers he has instead, after all, he knows they will be back! Ali Babas – go there, eat, enjoy!
