Just got back from Dalyan, first time to Turkey, and delighted with Tufan as choice of apartment.
Went with 2 teenagers, and got a 2 bed apartment. Family running it are friendly and very willing to help- getting up at 4am to let us in (and offering to wake us for our departure at 2am).
The rooms were clean and very spacious, there was a choice of fans or a/c for the rooms (we went for fans), and we had a balcony.
From Tufan it is a short walk into the town centre, and there is a small corner shop one minute away from which you can pick up essentials.
In the end we didn't do much self-catering apart from breakfast and one light evening meal, because of the wealth of restaurants in town.
Ideal for families- there were a number of families with much younger kids, and the pool was perfect for them, as well as ourselves.
I enjoyed Dalyan very much, there are many activities (some day trips can be organised through the apartments), and will very likely return at some point, and will stay here again when I do. (One English family we met were there for their third time). Don't often write reviews on here but wanted to balance out the odd negative reviews, because our experience was so utterly different. Highly recommended.

A friend and I stayed at Tufan Apart in May 2013 and unfortunately english money was taken from our room. Our money was within our underwear and we found it quite disturbing that someone came into our locked room, rifled trhough our smalls to find our money. We did complain, but did not recieve much of a response from the owner. The hotel has no CCTV. My advice to you is lock your money into your suitcase and take the key out with you. Apart from this one incident the hotel is fine, a bit of a walk from town and cooking facilities are minimal but you get what you pay for

Our first impression of the two brothers who ran the apartment was that they could not be bothered to help my mum and me with our luggage. My dad and husband were struggling up four flights of stairs with the cases but we had our hand luggage a buggy and a two year old to contend with. The apartment was not suitable as my two year old could have climbed up and fallen from the second floor balcony. Other reviewers have described this loft apartment as large but if you are tall, beware, the roof slopes and you are likely to hit your head on the beams if you try to move around the living/ dining area. We were able to move to a smaller apartment. The shower, if you can call it that was just a trickle of either very hot or very cold water as we couldn't get the temperature right. Take your own toilet roll as we only had one all of the ten days we were there. Other reviewers have commented about how clean the apartments were - I can see why they would think that but if you looked closer there was years of ground in dirt. I know because my mum scrubbed the light switches which were a browny beige colour and they came up a treat! Don't bother with the food, others are right it was uninspiring to say the least. The final straw was - we bought a fan for the second bedroom that didn't have air conditioning - it was cheaper to buy one in the local supermarket than rent it from the owners. When we left they charged us 20 lira for the electricity we had used. If you were to do a proper calculation the fan could have been run for three months for that! Finally the charge for the air conditioning is £8 per day which is a bit steep - so if you add this on to the cost of the apartment you can get something closer to the centre of the resort for a similar price. If you have already booked don't start panicking - Tufan Apartments are okay but not the best we have stayed in by far.

A really nice family run hotel. The apartments are very big especially the loft apartments which are probably the largest apartment I have ever rented. The rooms are cleaned every 3 days with towel and beds changed. The small pool is very clean and well attended. Was not too impressed with the food but we only tried 2 snacks there. Only a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of town along the main roadway or 15-20 stroll the scenic route. Would recommend to young, old and families.

Room Tip: Loft apartments are very big but can become very hot.

Just had a fantastic relaxing week at Tufan enjoying the largest apartment I've had in 20 years of visiting Dalyan. Lovely pool, friendly service and beautiful gardens in quiet surrondings; choice of 3 supermarkets nearby and town centre only minutes away.
