“Very good but not brilliant”
Reviewed July 1, 2012

Not long back from a week in this hotel. Unfortunately, I didn't get a balcony room even though this was requested on my booking.

The hotel itself is in a beautiful situation with tremendous views and the breakfasts were excellent. I was on half board and surprised that the evening meal had no choices at all, you took what was given. The starter appeared to be soup every night and desert melon or water melon but what I did have was very well cooked. I did eat out a couple of times and, with the number of restaurants in Dalyan, there is no fear of starving.

Erik, Evo and Mohammed who run the pool and bar area are absolutely brilliant and they made the holiday for me, always smiling and nothing too much trouble for them - hope you're all well.

Thank you for a lovely break in the sunshine.

Room Tip: No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms and take a beach towel as they are not provided

Thank you very much your comments about us Sir/Madam,
Firstly,we might give a specific number of River view rooms to agencies, and those rooms are sold out in a short time.so the agencies offer you the rooms which is not sold out.because, the agencies sell the specific number of river view rooms in a very short time, and we cant do any thing about it. this subject is among you and your agency.
So, Please when you make a reservation, please, talk to your travel agency representative and request and book a canal view room from your travel agency
because, we cant give the canal view rooms that early booked by our guest from agencies or from us to our guest who dont already have booked Canal view room, if our canal view rooms are not available in the dates you wish...
and secondly, about meal; our agreements with agancies are breakfats is open buffet and halfboard meal is set menu(our set menu is the meal from our Alacarte menu)...so, you should talk to your travel agency representative and should know the meal plan in our hotel

again thank you for your comments...
Best regards...

This hotel has to be in the best spot in dalyan, it it by far one of the better hotels, the rooms are big, clean, and well looked after, we ate twice and found the food to be very good, breakfasts are good plenty to choose from, swimming pool area is very clean with plenty of sun beds, bar is great, all the staff at the hotel are very good from reception to kitchen to bar they all make for a great holiday, I would recomend Dalyan and the Tezcan Hotel.

Room Tip: rooms at the front have good views of the rock tombs, rooms at the back are as good but no views.

Good value for money. Nice swimming pool. River facing rooms have excellent views of the King's rock tombs. Very friendly staff. Located in the centre of Dalyan closed to all amenities.

Room Tip: Ask for a river facing room!

Everything about our holiday was brilliant. The location of this hotel is lovely and the staff even more so, Evo, Eric and Mum are absolute legends! They made our stay so welcoming and entertaining, plus they make a mean cocktail!

The room was huge and the view was picturesque, definitely worth paying the extra for. It was always clean and the shower was blissful! We don't have a bad word to say about this hotel, for the price we paid it was way beyond our expectations. We went with the Bed and Breakfast option but did have dinner at the hotel one night, 23 Turkish Lira for a 4 course meal was very reasonable and the food was delicious! The manager even gave us a bottle of wine when we left! Who could ask for more? Hopefully we will be there again next year!

Room Tip: Pay extra for the balcony/riverview room

I stayed at this hotel with my Mum for 10 days from 18th May to 28th May. It was Mum's third time at this hotel ( my first) and she thought that this year was the best so far! The staff were all excellent, very very friendly. All spoke fantastic english. Every member of staff was extremely attentive and helpful. From Simon the Manager, Yildaz (guest relations) Eric and Evo (the biggest, harmless, flirts on the planet) everyone was very welcoming. We ate at the resturant most evenings and the food was excellent. If you are visiting Dalyan - please try the restaurant as it is open to non-guests and it has a beautiful setting. Evo and Eric will make you so welcome. Writing this whilst listening to Tom Jones singing Delilah at the Jubilee Concert - brings back memories of the bar music!!!!! Happy Days, Jean & Sue

Room Tip: Book a canal view room!

My wife and I spent a week at the Tezcan hotel in Dalyan 18th to 25th May 2012, we also had a week at the same hotel last June.
Last year it was good, this year the management has been restructured and a lot of new staff, it is now excellent !!! The new Manager Simon is a very helpful and excellent communicator and very friendly, always smiling. The staff are great especially Eric and his great friend Evro, they are the life and soul of the bar and dining area, two superb young men who my wife and I like very much.
The facility we had was a VIP suite with two balconys overlooking the beautiful river, it also has a Jacuzzi, but book early as there are only 2 of this type. There are many rooms with one balcony overlooking the river so its best to try and secure one of these, the hotel is spotless.
We always eat out but the people who had full board seemed very happy with the hotel food, the drinks are reasonably priced and so are the snacks.
Dalyan itself is an unspoilt gem , so take a boat to Turtle beach or to the lake and mudbaths, all boat owners will take you anywhere and also supply a barbecue if you wish, seek out one boatman in particular he is to the left of the Tezcan hotel his name is Captain Osman and he is very very fair. To dine out has you spoilt for choice so here are a 2 places that are excellent, The Hidden Garden at the rear of the Tezcan hotel ( The steaks are top class) The Other Side restaurant which is opposite the boatmen on the other bank, hope this true review helps, if you require any further info feel free to e mail me at simplysolarnwltd@gmail.com
