“3rd Visit - Many more to come !”
Reviewed July 22, 2012

Been back 3 weeks now and only now getting over the Post Dalyan Blues.

Once again the Bin Kaya lived up to the exceedingly service levels we have come to expect. Stayed in our favourite room again. Funda and Christophe are as welcoming and happy as ever, very hard working but very positive and a joy to be around.

Once again the hotel BBQ was exceptional - far too much food !

The girls who look after you during your stay are always happy, always smiling, always attentive.

I keep promising to try somewhere different but Dalyan and the Bin Kaya keeps drawing us back again.

Favourite restaurants outwith the hotel this year included Bistro Clou, Ramazan Han, Natural Paradise and Saki.

Thank you once again Funda and Christophe xx

We were met with huge smiles and a very warm welcome from both Funda and Christophe as we stepped out of our taxi. A drink and an intro of the area made us feel instantly welcome and familiarised us with our home for the next 10 days.

The hotel, pool, garden, bar & dining areas, bedrooms & bathrooms are in pristine condition and immaculately clean. Every item of chrome & porcelain shining, bed linen of excellent quality, furniture, table cloths, napkins, staff uniforms and crockery all chosen to tie in with their branding and their high benchmark of quality and standards.

Binkaya hotel is centrally located but we found it to be quiet. The weekly market does set up in the early hours but it did not bother us. Service is attentive without being overbearing. Christophe’s sense of humour is unique but you can’t fault his endless smiles and boundless energy for making sure everything is perfect. Both Funda and Christophe go above and beyond expectation and pre-empt customer needs even before the customer does: an extra inflatable for the pool, after sun care for the paler skinned. The girls who work there are extremely well trained and constantly walk round the pool area to see if you need anything: water and wine topped up, tables cleared promptly, towels folded, sun lounges re-aligned to the millimetre….yet they seem to be able to do this without being overbearing and always, ALWAYS with a smile. We wanted to take Fatima home with us!

Our favourite restaurants were Caretta, Caretta (in the main square next door to the kebab shop) and Sakis (on the river and great for veggies). Both of these restaurants look very basic in presentation but the staff are great and the food decent. Generally we found the food basic in flavours, presentation and skill with fresh fish and meat overcooked and all vegetable and salad covered in dill and flat leaf parsley but Christophe cooks a great fillet Steak á la Francaise and provides a welcome break from the Turkish fare. Turkish meat balls are marvellous though. Binkaya does a great Turkish breakfast which is a feast in itself and if you can eat it all you can skip lunch entirely. The local beer Efes is great and the Turkish wine, on the whole, seems to offer a better choice than in Greece. Christophe supplies a very decent house white.

The turtle rescue centre at the road end of Turtle beach is a must. We visited the mud & thermal baths, the ruins of old Kounos and marvelled at the ancient Tombs, we swam in the middle of the lake and in the sea both sides of the beach, we hired a car and drove the hour and a half to walk the gorge at Satlikent and stood under the waterfall at the end. Simply amazing!

I own a business that assesses hospitality in restaurants and pubs and so my standards are extremely high. I cannot recommend Bin Kaya highly enough.

We stayed in this hotel, 15,16 and 17 years ago (previous owners), visited for dinner last year and as a result of the welcome took the adult children back this year. Amazing hospitality, clean rooms with air conditioning, proud owners keen to ensure we were looked after. Breakfasts with a wide range of choice, all fresh and well presented; some of the best food in Dalyan for dinner with a good wine list. The owners are French and Turkish, husband and wife team. Local staff (yes limited English as stated in one review) but always so helpfully and kind, it was not a problem. We could not fault this hotel and would love to go back.

I suppose that it's relatively easy to describe hotel room, the swimming pool, the location etc.etc...and previous reviews have already done this very well ( simply lovely). However, what is a little more difficult to describe is the welcome, the warmth, the friendliness, the kindness and the overall genuine and wonderful hospitality that you receive from Christophe and Funda.
I have never had to try and hold back tears before when saying goodbye to hotel hosts or owners but this time it was very hard to leave and to say goodbye to two genuinely kind hearted and fun loving people who's aim is always to try and please their guests.
The hotel is extremely well kept, run and organised and the staff too cannot be more helpful and attentive ( always delightful and with beautiful smiles :O)
Christophe and Funda, we cannot thank you enough for a perfect end to our wonderful holiday in Turkey. We miss your energy Funda, your jokes Christophe......well we simply miss you and the Bin Kaya hotel very much and we would love to return to see you again one day in the not so distant future.
I have often read the phrase, 'arrive as guests and leave as friends' and this phrase really does 'sum up' our experience of our stay at the Bin Kaya hotel.

Room Tip: we had a beautiful ground level room with French doors that opened out onto the pool (but our friend...

What more can I add to what has already been said about the Bin Kaya in previous reviews?
Christophe and Funda are the perfect hosts and enhanced our stay with their endless good humour and superb cooking skills. Every restaurant owner in Dalyan claims to serve the best food in town but Bin Kaya guests know better!
The rooms are clean and tidy and the pool and al fresco dining area are well laid out. The three waitresses are attentive, efficient and always always greet you with a smile.
The hotel is handily situated close to the bus stop to the beach, the river where many boat trips are offered and to the main street at the centre of town.
This is a small friendly hotel where you will be treated as friends and not just as clients.

Room Tip: There are a couple of rooms with direct access to the pool area which look good.

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 day break in Dalyan, we returned to our favorite place in town for an evening meal, and were not disappointed the food as always was exceptional and the service was five star, but by far the friendly atmosphere created by the owners, a very knowledgable frenchman Christophe and his turkish wife Funda will have us returning as soon as possible. If you are in Dalyan you should not miss this wonderful place.

We stayed at the BinKaye hotel over the Easter period 2012. The owners Christophe and Funda were most welcoming and the nicest hosts I have ever experienced. The Hotel is clean and bright and Funda who is not only a good cook but very creative giving it a feeling of home rather than a hotel.
Christophe is French and as all French men is passionate about food and his wine giving a very varied menu.
We stayed 5 nights and of those chose to eat 3 nights with them and couldn't fault any of the food.
Breakfast was something else, it just kept coming and was enough to see you through the day.
The evenings in April were cold but Christophe and his lovely staff kept the log fire burning which was nice to sit and have another glass of wine or two.
The pool area is extremely nice with outside dinning.
The hotel is on the edge of the town and a perfect location, close to the river and the buses and everything you need on the doorstep.
We will definitely return and would like to think of Christophe and Funda as friends.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
T & E xx
