What can you say about this place the Asur Otel its a little Jewel in Dalyan, Turkey. Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Asur although i stayed in the apartment not the actual hotel, We did use the Hotel for some evening meals and during the day for relaxation and went back to the apartment for swimming in the afternoon as was a little quieter than the hotel pool. The staff are brilliant and cant do enough to help you, and the food is good, ok maybe if you were picky you could say not a massive choice at breakfast but what can you want , cereals, toast, and the cooked to order Omelette's/Pancakes were divine and wee were more than happy personally. The Demirbey family really make this place and the welcome they give their visitors is second to none, along with their staff for which we cant thank them enough for making our stay so welcoming along with Ben and Pascha the hotel dogs. The Thomas Cook rep Huseyin also deserves a special mention he was always on hand helpful and didnt feel like he was your face trying to make you go on trips which maybe might not be for you, but we do recomend his charity walk we were lucky enough to see and get invited into a Turkish wedding on our walk cant promise you that but the few hours passes quickly and you dont feel like youve been on a hike either. The apartment was clean has everything you need and the shower had hot water and lots of it brillant for me, and also the added extras of free pool towels and sunloungers, along with free A/c which really helps. The Town of Dalyan is only a 10min walk from the Hotel/Aprt's and has everything along with lovely restaurants on the river with views of the Lycien tombs from some which light up in the evening's which really is a sight to see while having a relaxing dinner. Dalyan maybe not be for the really young or clubbers but for us this place and the accomodation really made our week fantastic and one we shall be repeating next year for two weeks but going to try the Hotel this time. If you book here you really wont be disapointed it seemed to us this really was a little bit of paradise we were lucky to stumble across and also has people flocking back year after year as may we :-)

What a wonderful find the Asur Hotel is. Situated in an incredibly beautiful part of Turkey, near the lovely town of Dalyan, it is on the edge of a river with mountains as a back drop.
The hotel has everything you could need for a perfect holiday. Your accommodation is in little log cabins on pathways edged with gorgeous blooms. These have a small veranda with chairs so that you can sit with a drink and enjoy the bird life. There is everything you could want in your cabin from a well stocked fridge, safe, tea and coffee making facilities with stock replaced daily, television, plenty of room and a good, hot shower. the towels and bedding are changed daily and it is all spotlessly clean.
The swimming pool is wonderful, pool bar well stocked and the restaurant food extremely good, to include an extensive range at breakfast.
One real bonus is the lush gardens with hammocks which lead to the jetty complete with rocking chairs in order to watch the boats go by.
There is free WIFI, computer room and upteen book shelves with scores of books left behind by holidaymakers.
The strength of this hotel is in its staff who are as helpful as they are pleasant. The proceedings are supervised by the Demirbey family with their beautiful daughter Mirna!
We enjoyed trips organised by Huseyn the most charming Thomas Cook Representative and I can recommend the boat trips with barbeques from the very cosmopolitan port Gocek, the trip to Saklikent Gorge, and the walk to the 3000 year old city of Caunos. We also enjoyed a charity walk with Huseyn and the chance to visit his house and meet his family.
The town of Dalyan has impressive cafes, bars, restaurant and shops with the river running at the side of the town, and is only a ten minute stroll from the hotel. There is a good market in the town each Saturday. Also, one bonus of staying at this location is that it is only ten minutes from the airport.
A real find and one which we will enjoy again, like most of the people who were there at the same time!
The greatest strength of this hotel

Room Tip: Rooms 306 and 307 are very good being the most private.

Have just got back from another 2 week stay, and have to say that once again just a ridiculously chilled time was had... I stand by the other reviews that I have made regarding the Asur. The rooms may be a little small, but are immaculately and meticulously cleaned daily (as is the rest of the hotel) and you have the added bonus of free air-con and safe.

The staff, as always are attentive and courteous and a special mention must go to Ishmael at the bar - helpful, friendly and going out of his way to ensure that we had our drink of choice available...

You can see through all of the reviews just what this place is all about, and once you have been there you can understand why people keep coming back time after time...

It starts the moment you walk through the entrance, smell the jasmine, and then you feel the weight of the world lift off your shoulders... the perfect place to come, relax and recharge...

Had stayed at the Hotel on previous occasions...Thought this time we would like a bit more space...

Apartments are a very good size with air-con in both the lounge and bedroom and was free along with a free safe in the bedroom...

Lounge a good size with sofa and tv..The kitchen in the same room with ample facilities for cooking and a fridge...Washing machine in the bathroom...Shower isn't too great to get in and out of espically if you were to have mobility problems..

Cleaners every day and they did a great job..

Pool area was perfect - busy the first week but then most the families left as the kids were due back to school...Second week we were the only ones at the pool till about 11am..So plenty sunbeds...Bar was adequate and maned most of the day...

Location is perfect and is about a 10min walk to the village and shops...Plenty bars and eating places...

Thomas Cook charged us an under=occupancy fee about £380 which i feel is a con as its only a fold down sofa..

Overall Dalyan is a lovely place not too busy but not too quiet either...Wouldnt say its for youngsters as there aint much for them..

I booked the Asur Hotel very last minute after reading all the most recent trip advisor reviews....I wasn't disappointed.

As a young woman in her 20's travelling with a female friend, I found this a really relaxing hotel with a real community feel. My visit was made very special by all and I have nothing but good words to say about the Asur,

Rooms
My friend and I shared a twin in room 203. Our bungalow/chalet wasn't massive but still had plenty of space for two girl's toiletries, makeup and clothes. The free aircon was perfect and has us cooled down quickly. The power shower was good and water was always a good constant temperature. Remember in Turkey the toilet paper is put in a bin next to the the toilet, not inside due to their waste disposal system there. Maid service was everyday was good with fresh towels and bedding. The free safe in the room was a great point and on a girly note, the lights by the mirror both in the bathroom and the bedroom mirror were great for makeup.

Hotel Restaurant
Breakfast
We booked on a Bed and Breakfast basis and breakfast was from 7am-10am. Their was a good selection of cold and hot breakfast options. Fresh juices (Peach was lovely), cereals and the an addition to usual tea and coffee we're their Turkish speciality options (Pomegranate tea and Apple tea were delicious). The chef made us fresh omelettes everyday from a selection of ingredients by his station and also pancakes.
We we're made to feel very special when every morning the chef would sprinkle pink flowers over our heads, a very nice touch.

Dinner
We ate twice at the restaurant for dinner both we enjoyed. The calamari was good. Our second dinner was a flambéed chicken and lamb dish which was served up table-side which was great. accompanied by peppers, steamed veg, rice, chips and really lovely. Reasonably priced and same as in town. The owners dogs Benjamin and Pasha and their cats would usually join us for dinner but were never a nuisance.

Pool
The hotel pool was perfectly clean and clear and the whole area was very tranquil. Never had to fight for a sunbed. All the guests around the pool were very friendly. The pool was also great for those who can't swim as it was only around 4ft 6 in the shallow parts. I'm rather short and cannot swim well and felt very safe.
There were free pool towels by the side and no club tunes blasting out. There is a pool bar for drinks and snacks.

Jetty
This was my favourite place in the hotel and we spent most late evenings there.very peaceful, quiet and tranquil,...a great place to watch the stars, read a book and relax in the rocking chairs or hammocks.

Excursions
I booked through Thomas Cook and our rep Hussain was brilliant. We booked 4 trips through them and all were amazing. The 3 hour charity walk on the Sunday was a great experience and walking through the village areas of Dalyan, walking past the mountains and lemon groves. For only £5 was a great afternoon out, just do remember suncream, a hat and plenty of water.
The other trips booked were 'Discover Dalyan', 'Turkish Bath' and 'Jeep Safari' all of which were so amazing to describe. All the guides were well informed and got to see a really traditional side to Turkey.

Overall this was a fantastic breakaway and a truly great hotel to experience Dalyan. I highly recommended it to all who like a relaxing friendly break.
Thanks to all the the Asur!
Sarah and Chloe xx

This is one of those hotels people keep returning to and you can see why. Beautifully laid out and immaculately clean with smiling, efficient staff. A 10-15 minute walk from the town centre but taxis are quite cheap. Stayed on B&B basis, breakfasts excellent. If you do not want to leave the pool in the daytime, there is an excellent snack bar/restaurant at poolside, offering good value food with a wide choice. Will certainly return in the near future. Our regards to Keith, Carol, Asda Annie, Claire et al for their company over 10 glorious days

Room Tip: All are within close proximity of hotel facilities

Our second visit and we were not disappointed - it was everything we remembered and more.
Perfect location at the edge of town so very peaceful but a short walk into the hustle and bustle
if that is what you want. Very difficult to leave the wonderful pool and gardens, hammocks under
the trees or the jetty where the boats gently chug down to the beach.
Everything you want in the rooms which are kept spotlessly clean, as is the rest of the hotel and gardens.
This year we ate several times in the excellent restaurant in a relaxed atmosphere with a very warm and friendly service. Hospitality of the family and staff are second to none.
Our Rep Hussein from Thomas Cook was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area which
is such a change.
