Out 4th return visit. 2 weeks at Prince of Caunos has come to represent the classic summer holiday for our children and us. The hotel catches the breeze and is well shaded; nice size- only 13 a/c rooms, which are simple but clean and restaurant is great. Pool is perfect. Value? We can't find anything to beat it anywhere. Improvement? Only thing we can think of is bring back Javuz and Gezmis the previous manager/chef who were utterly superb.

Spent several evenings dining here and soaking in the fantastic view - attentive staff, not typically pushy as are some restaurant staff. Would definitely recommend as reasonable prices and tastey food. At the end of the harbour, easily missed but worth the walk.

Had to add this, as it was so good and such great value. Didnt stay at hotel and only found this place on the last night. Obviously! Breakfast for 7.5 TL and very good. 2 eggs on toast, sos n bacon and beans. Nice. Mixed Pide at 8 TL was massive and stuffed full of meat and tomatoes. I will definitely be back, should i go back to dalyan. Just maybe earlier/later in the year.

Whilst on the Riverside walk in Dalyan, my husband and I stopped for a drink at the Prince of Caunos one blazingly hot afternoon.
We were treated like long lost friends and offered a poolside table, with free use of facilities for as long as we wanted to stay. The staff created a friendly, amenable atmosphere without attemting to force products on us. In fact, we only had one cold drink each in the four hours we remained, gazing at life on the river. However, so pleasant was our afternoon in beautiful surroundings that we returned almost every day and for a couple of evening meals. the food was varied, tasty and plentiful. Mehmet, the proprietor, often threw in a free cay or coffee and we spent almost as much time at the Prince as we did at our own hotel. Cant wait to return

Rooms could of done with a face lift, but having said that we were comfortable. The balcony was only big enough to accommodate 1 chair, so it was just as well we had 2!
Breakfast was very relaxed and the pancakes cooked to order were lovely.
The staff were very welcoming and saw to our every needs, indeed , remembering our drinks after the first night. Hotel in a quiet area but only minutes walk from the centre of the town, if you wanted more activity? Hotel restaurant very good.
We would stay here again should we visit this part of Turkey again.

It is already several years ago that me and a friend stayed at the Prince of Caunos (before the rebuilding in 2004), but it was one of our best holidays.
The staff was always very kind and helpful, the food was delicious and the location and the view led to the fact, that we almost never left the hotel.. only for some day trips.
Spend a day out (at the beach, at a mudbath, or anywhere else) and it feels like coming home in the evening.
The restaurant with the cozy sofas is great for relaxing.
I had a short look at some rooms after the renovation, but unfortunately it isn't so easy any more to book the hotel when travelling from germany :o(
(That's why it's only 4 points from me...- and due to the fact that I don't know if the staff ist still the same.)
At least, when I manage to come back to Dalyan, I will have dinner at the restaurant - but preferably would like to stay there.

The staff and the food at the hotel were very good and the Tandir night was excellent. It is a pity that a bit more TLC is not given to the hotel it is in a wonderful position and could be a first class hotel. There is a total lack of care given to the maintenance - eg. several light bulbs out in the dining room for the whole week ( and are probably still out). This is only one example and I could list many more. We had room 11 which is called a suite - it did have a separate sitting area but was very sparcely funished - a sofa, a coffee table and a TV.
Having said all that we did enjoy our week because we met and spent time with some great people who were staying there.
