“Serviceable cabin in a lovely, relaxing setting”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

I spent 1 night at the Ugur Pansiyon in a little wood-panelled cabin (“bungalow”) set among gardens to the back of the property. It had not been built by, nor had it been cleaned by, a perfectionist, but it was nice enough and clean enough to suit my needs for a night. Nice features included the tiny porch with chairs, the privacy despite closeness to other cabins (achieved by window blinds and well-positioned shrubs), and the ready availability of extra blankets and pillows. The bathroom is a wet room (i.e., there is no stall or curtain to separate the shower from the rest of the bathroom), but it was large enough to prevent any difficulties with this arrangement. On the negative side, my mattress was not very comfortable.

The B&B has a large yard to the front of the property. With hammocks and gazebos (furnished with low tables and comfortable seating) and picnic tables and trees and lots of flowers and birds and an affectionate little cat, it offered a lovely place to relax.

Staff were helpful and responsive. For example, Ugur provided some much appreciated advice about how best to see the Chimaera (aka Yanartaş).

The ample breakfast buffet included Turkish standards, as well as scrambled eggs, some wonderfully fresh apricots, and a platter of fresh parsley.

I also ate dinner at the B&B -- a generous portion of tasty meatballs with fries and a fresh salad served outdoors under a large leafy tree. Very pleasant!

We were a bit disappointed in the rooms. As the hotel is located on a grand terrain in the middle of nowhere, we expected the rooms to be bigger, with more sunlight and that perhaps they'd have a kitchen and a fridge (which would've been very easy to check beforehand, I admit).

Anyway, I felt like a monk in his monestery. The rooms were tiny and aschetic with nothing but the beds and a wardrobe. There was a window, but since it gave to the garden passage with people walking by all the time, we kept it shut (as did everybody else) with the effect that it got a bit of prison cell -like feeling in there. The staff was friendly, but kept their distance (which I didn't mind).

Nice way of placing dining tables outside, a ping pong table, volleyball net and lots of trees. Kids liked to run around in the garden. The sea is a few hundred meters away.

There are bungalows as well. They might be nicer than the garden rooms we stayed in.

It was not a bad experience by any means, but I probably would try something else the next time. There's about 30 small hotels with huge gardens in CIrali.

Room Tip: Try the bunglaow rather than the garden room.

Loved the shady trees in the garden with the tables for eating at. Would be fabulous to sit under in the heat of summer. Our room was small but perfectly fine. It's a lovely spot and we had our first sea swim in Turkey here. Stony, pebble and coarse sand beach with the most beautiful clear water.Location of this premise is right at the end of the beach, about 3 km from where the turnoff is for back up the hill. The Dolmus did drop us off right outside the pension and apparently it runs up and down the length of the beach every 1/2 hour or so over summer. Its about 2km walk to the National park entrance (note there is a 4TL fee per person to walk up to the Chimera - being from NZ where national parks dont charge for just looking (!), we didnt take any money and it was a drama but we eventually did get up there). It's a 1km uphill walk/trek with lots of big steps and potential for ankle twisting. Do not attempt to go up or down at night without a torch like the man we saw. Recipe for disaster!

We stayed in this pansyion for 3 nights in august 2011. Rooms are very essential, but garden is very relaxing and food very good. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Beach is really quiet and sea very warm and clean in front of the beach. A lot of space for children. Transfer to/ from chimerae and to/ from antalya.

We stayed at Ugur Pansiyon for 4 nights in September and would definitely return. Even though Ugur is located at the far end of Cirali it's really easy to get anywhere you'd like to go. The Chimera is really close by, a quick bike ride (provided at the pansiyon but do test ride them, one of them was not really roadworthy) or walk away. The beach is at your front door and the main town is easily accessible by bike. The family who run the pansiyon were really helpful and friendly and we can honestly say we didn't have better tasting food anywhere in Turkey than the understated dinners provided here. The only criticism is the bedding is a tiny bit coarse but that was a small price to pay for the location and service.

Love this place and the family who runs it. Very nice family room, close to the beach, nice walk into town, which as stated before, very quiet. Place to dwaddle and go slow. Olympos was wonderful too. We say tortoise, hedgehog, chameleon, and lots of singing frogs. Nature was close.

Ugur was clean, open, lovely, and food was great as was the friendly service and offer to help. They gave us a ride to the Chimera area, which you have to see. Olympos is dedicated to Hephaestus; God of Fire., So the Chimera place -fantastic animal of goat, lion and dragon -was fascinating. We stayed two extra days and could have stayed more. We love it. Two teens and mom and dad.

Hi we stayed here 2 nights in early May. It was our first time CIrali and absoultely loved the area and this family run place. If you want a tranquil place to chill out I highly recommend this place. We made use of the free bikes and road into "town" each day, but loved coming back to our own little slice of paradise.
