I am finishing my 4 night stay at Casa Legenda, and my fiance and I have loved it. It's a small little guest house/hotel, with only a few rooms, right inside the old Citadel of Medieval Sighisoara. It is a quiet, quaint lodging, with a very friendly and helpful landlady who makes you feel right at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with private bathrooms, cable TV, and authentic Romanian furnishings. The hotel also boasts a common room with a refrigerator, microwave stove, glasses, tea cups, and mugs, for travelers to store food, make tea or warm up food. There are also dining tables in this common area. The prices can't be beat in Old Sighisoara, nor can the hospitality and comfort. I will stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: All rooms are clean and quiet. A few have double beds, but even the ones with singles are quite comf...

The Legend House is a great guesthouse. The owners made us feel welcome right from the first minute. The room (#2) was cosy, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean, the shower powerful and hot. The location is right in the centre of Sighisoara so everything is right there on the doorstep. It's very good value. Two improvements could be made - 1. there is no wifi, we could connect easily to the Burg Hostel next door, but this is not ideal. 2. they should serve breakfast, Sighisoara is not the best place to find a cafe open at 9 in the morning.

I stayed with my boyfriend at the Casa Legenda in the Old Room a few weeks ago. The room was decorated nicely with an old time charm. It felt clean and was comfortable. The room had a private entrance and windows facing the street at eye level. I don't believe there was staff on site for 24 hours. I think they were present during the early day hours only. The shower had hot water with nice pressure. There was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom. It wasn't terrible but it would have been better if it didn't smell at all. The bed we had was not a double, it was two twin beds pushed together. There was a small table with two chairs and a nice armoire to hang some clothes. The hotel is 5 steps from the center square. The Old Town is fairly small, most hotels located in the Old Town will be a few steps from the center square. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

When we walked to the pension gate, we were greeted by name as the caretaker came out to greet us with a smile. We stayed in the Olde Room, which I highly recommend. US dollar is $30/night and what an unbelievable bargain! The room was maticulously clean and decorated in the neatest furniture with a table, huge antique bed and large beautiful armouir. The bathroom was spacious and the windows opened so we could hear the people in the street outside the room.
Next door is a hostel with internet. We went there often to check email and meet the other young tourists, and also to eat. We are light sleepers and, as opposed to others who have reviewed, never heard a peep at night (but traved in off-season March).
The only other room we've stayed at that was as much a treat as this was in Brugges Belgium. It was the most wonderful place and we are so very glad we stayed here!
Do be aware, the Orthodox Christian Church rings bells at dawn so be prepared to be awoken suddenly.

My husband and I spent two days in September in Granny's house. We had spent a few days in Casa Legenda before, and we had been happy with it. However, Granny's house is not something we really expected. It really looked like the house that my grandmother - or rather her grandmother had lived in. The bedroom was pretty spacious, with three beds, however, there were very strange pictures on the wall - such as a naked woman - that were completely outside of the house's specificity. Also, there was a radio that did not work, and a TV that did not work, stored behind a dressing. The TV in the "hallway" only worked on a few channels, and was extremely old. The kitchen was very old, and water dripped from the sink. The toilet was horrible, very small, outdated and dirty. However, the most interesting thing we saw were a couple of mice running happily through the various rooms. Overall, good location, in the centre of the city, but also quiet enough, but horrible accomodation. I would recommend Casa Legenda, but I would never recommend Granny's house.

Step into Casa Legenda at your own risk. It is next door to the courtyard of the Sighisoara youth hostel, which has no curfew. The young people who stayed at the hostel on our night in Casa Legenda started to party at midnight. We had the sounds of noisy conversation, laughter, singing, shouting and more loud noises almost till dawn and coud not sleep for a moment. On complaining in the morning, the receptionist shurgged us off. In addition, the place advertises itself as a romantic old house while in reality there is nothing romantic about it, just a ho-hum modern building with several rooms which are accessed from an outside yard, like a motel. We reserved the room on the internet, and when we got there we saw that their real rate was about 20% lower, but they still insisted on taking us for a ride. There is no breakfast in this "pension" and the owners live elsewhere, leaving their guests to fend for themselves if there is any problem after check-in (such as a key that does not open the outside door). All in all, if you look for a romantic gateaway, or even just a good night's sleep, stay as far from Casa Legenda as you possibly can.

We stayed in Grannie's House which was a separate house away from the Legend House.

It was very spacious, creepy and old! The furniture is divine! The location is most creepy indeed (right next to the old wooden stairs) and we actually found it difficult sleeping at nights.

Horror fans, you are in for a treat if you stay here.
