First the positives: The location of this hostel is great, you are right in the citadel and the sights are all very close.
This was by far the worst hostel I stayed in in Romania, I think they have abused their position as the only hostel in the citadel. The staff were not friendly, the room was not particularly clean, and had a distinctly unpleasant smell. The whole place somehow managed to have no character at all despite being in this beautiful old citadel there was no real common area as is standard in the hostel only the restaurant where obviously you could not eat and drink your own food and beverages and felt pressure to purchase from the extremely inefficient and lazy waitresses. They were also very misleading about parking, indicating that it would be possible to find parking on the streets of the citadel which was defiantly not the case! If you have a car park it at the bottom and walk up!
I was very disappointed with this hostel and would say pay a bit more and stay in one of the pensions!
