“Worth a trip despite the touristy feel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

An amazing historical site which you can read about elsewhere - a bit cheesy with the horn blowing by actors regaled in faux historical costumes but don't miss it if you are in the area.

“A superbly preserved medieval place.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

A medieval fortress have regular visits. Sighisoara is a great city. It is an ideal location for both the old, young and couples. Inside the fortress prices are a little high, but outside, you can sleep and eat on low prices.

“Sighisoara, beautifull romantic centre/citadel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

If you love a beautiful citadel, with cozy houses, a very nice atmosphere, you have to visit Sighisoara, Just walk around, and you feel yourself living in the middle-ages! do not forget your camera, there is much to be photographt!! I found a beautiful Art Gallery with really nice stuff, Very friendly people everywhere, take the wooden stair up to the church very nice views over the town.
In the citadel are lots of restaurants, but if you go a little out of the citadel you find even more places to eat and drink with much better prices.... as example , go to the cafe "Lazy Louis" very good prices, service and friendly!

“Charming”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

Incredibly picturesque, with colorful houses, cozy terraces and small hotels everywhere. Not necessarily typically Romanian, but German/Transylvanian, given the history of the town. Naturally, a bit touristy with souvenirs and guides, a medieval festival and steeper prices in the most popular attractions, but very romantic and fairytale-like. This is a place you definitely have to visit while in Romania. I myself and Romanian but living in Sweden and I hadn't had the chance up until now. I'm enjoying myself. This part of the country is beautiful!
