Our weekend stay was short but sweet. The villa is located 10 minutes by foot and 3 minutes by car from the heart of the city, the Sighisoara Citadel. It is surrounded by houses, in a quiet area.
The accommodation is very clean, the rooms have good sizes and are very warm. Our room was on the top floor. It had 3 beds, with good quality mattresses and linens. There were blankets, but we hardly used them, since the temperature of the room was perfectly warm for the chilly nights of a mountain spring. It also had bed lamps, a tv, a closet with hangers, a cooler and a safe box. The bathroom was also very clean and had a good size shower, plenty of towels, a hair dryer and a power outlet for shavers. There was a small balcony at the end of the floor, on which you could have coffee or a cigarette.
Downstairs, inside, there was a sitting area and a buffet with appliances and good quality supplies for coffee and tea making, and a microwave. There was also an outside terrace and a bar, which served drinks and sweets. We had our morning coffe there. The neighborhood was very quiet at night. The rooms were cleaned daily, unless you requested otherwise. The landlords helped us with anything we needed and would give us thorough instructions on how to get to any place we wanted to visit, not only in Sighisoara, or around.
There was no chair in the room, so it was tricky to get to the roof window in the bathroom, and if there was too much noise on the holway, (mostly in the mornings), it would wake up the light sleepers. The ceiling lightbulbs were low wattage, but I suppose you could ask for them to be changed. They don't serve food, but that's a good reason to try out many delicious options around town!
Other than that, we had a lovely stay and would definitely visit again.
The staff was friendly and helpful, very professional and attentive.
Would definitely recommend the location to those who want to be near the heart of the city and to those who value a clean, comfy room during their stay, at a very good price.
