We stayed at the hotel overnight. It had all the right amenities. Room was clean, with balcony facing the mountains. We had a beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of items including made-to-order eggs. They had a waiting room where we could take a shower. The room also had several computer terminals for customer use. We also enjoyed a massage which was great and at an excellent price. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed for 1 night in the hotel, its fantastic hotel. Keep in mind there are some construction going on the side of hotel so its noisy. Otherwise everything is very good about this hotel. Good view of the valley. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Lots of facilities. I am writing this while waiting in the changing room which has shower facilities with free towel, free internet with 4 desktop computers.

Room Tip: Ask for room on 6th floor & behind one & not near the lift or staircase as lots of traffic

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, very nice, great breakfast, however when we arrived at 6.30 in the morning after the overnight train we were told that we could not check in until 12.00 noon, my husband was not impressed as he suffers with a bad back, as we were led to believe that we had an early check in, I called our travel agent innsqigon and it was fixed immediately and were we in a room before 8.00pm so I guess before you go ensure you do have an early check in and also,as the train does not got until 7.30 pm on the return to Hanoi ensure you can keep the room until 5.00pm. Apart from those few problems the hotel was great breakfast was really nice a lot to choose from. Views from our room were really great the new building next door did not effect our view at all. We stayed four nights at this hotel and it was an absolute joy. Being situated on the side of a mountain the views from our room, and also the excellent restaurant reminded us of locations in Austria and Bavaria - minus the snow. They do occasionally get snow here in winter , so take warm clothes if you are visiting at that time of year. The staff and service was without fault, and if it look looks rain, umbrellas can be collected at reception. It is a short walk uphill through a shopping precinct to the beautiful lake and cathedral, which is floodlit at night. A large indoor - outdoor market is located at the end of the street near to the hotel so there is no need to arrange transport withing the town area. A hike down to Cat Cat village and waterfall is well worthwhile. A short walk further on, to the remote village of Sin Chai will reveal how these ethnic minority people live their day to day lives. We can recommend this hotel and would stay there again anytime.

Room Tip: Most rooms have an excellent view but a higher one will avoid looking over the roof tops of houses b...

Sapa was a true highlight of our month in Vietnam. This hotel is in an excellent location for restaurants and the market and it is for that reason it rates high. It seems a lot of bus tours stay here but the staff is helpful and the views are terrific. Beware however as they have just started construction right next door. Not sure what they are building or how long it will take but if it is more than a few stories high the view could be partially compromised. Still one of the better options in town.

This was our base before our trek and homestay in Sapa.

At the end of a small alley it is nicely tucked away and feels safe and quite.

The room was large and clean although aging! The view from the balcony was breathtaking.

Breakfast was good.

We were booked here as part of a tour so have no idea what we actually paid for this hotel. I assume it was not expensive! We also had only one night here so did not get to experience the full range of facilities.

However.....what we liked was...

- our group had 4 rooms. We were all put adjacent to one another which is actually quite rare.
- we were allocated the 7th floor, and our 4 rooms were together by themselves which gave us a shared balcony with the most amazing views.
- the beds were really comfortable.
- we stayed in April. It was quite cold but we did not need any heating on in the room (although the Heater was available).
- the breakfast was very good with a large variety.
- the location was very good with many restaurants and massage places a very easy walk, and most of all...
- this hotel has a huge lounge area. Tours to Sapa arrive early in the morning with a late departure on the overnight trains. This huge lounge area has shower facilities (and clean towels), a bar, comfortable lounges, wifi access, and computers if you need to wait and freshen up for your train departure.

It's not a 5 star hotel by any means and the hotel is a little dated. The stairs have seen better days. But...I would have been more than happy to spend another day (and another night) in this hotel in beautiful Sapa.
