“Excellent organization, wonderful views and hospitality of note”

We stayed at the Cat Cat View hotel recently as part of a large group. The hotel was not only accommodating of our needs but they also ensured that we had a wonderful time in Sapa. The hotel is centrally located in Sapa to the things one wishes to see and do. It is also very competitively priced and has some of the best uninterrupted views in town. While rooms are simple, they are exceptionally clean, comfortable, excellent mattresses and have all one would need.

Room Tip: The top floor rooms are the best. View, view and more view. Wow. I have stayed in other hotels in...

We stayed here for 2 nights. We were in room 29, right on the top floor. We had the most magnificent views. We arrived at 6 am on the train from Hanoi and the hotel only had a twin room available which was find. I suggested we could change rooms later but we were offered either the twin room then or wait 3 hours after a sleepless night on the train so we went with the twin. The room was fine, hot water was hot. The beds were had but that is the usual. Things we found missing: no tea and coffee facilities and no complimentary water or fridge. It was very hot while we were there and there was no fan in the room. Overall a good stay but all of the above things missing have been standard at a number of our less expensive or equivalent priced hotels across Vietnam.

Just returned from a trip to Vietnam. Stayed at Cat Cat View while in Sapa. Perfect location. Room was clean and spacious. Nothing fancy but worked great for my son and myself. Restaurant offered beautiful view and good food. All members of the multi-generational Vietnamese family who run and operate the hotel were very nice and accommodating. Beautiful plants on terrace.

Traveling on a budget my room seemed to be in a separate building from the main reception. The room was basic and clean but had a few faults, however, if you get one facing the view then thats really nice to wake up to.
This hotel was waiting to poach me as i got off the bus and played the haggling game, but said it was just around the corner and only a few minutes walk, when in fact it was much further than you need when you just got off a night bus! make them pay for a bike or at least take your bags, its up hill.
All in all, its cheap and clean.

Perfect location in downtown Sapa. Beautiful greenery and flowers everywhere like a tropical oasis. Gorgeous decor. The seventh floor has a very large terrace overlooking awe-inspiring views. Super spacious rooms with very comfy beds. Restaurant fare wonderful and very reasonably priced. I would stay here again and again...

Room Tip: Try to get seventh floor...gorgeous terrace.

We stayed here after the sapa Eden hotel was closed for the night-they were praying against bird flu arriving. We had rooms on the seventh floor, tier 1. The rooms were basic, but had fox sports which meant my husband was able to watch the Spanish Grand Prix! He was delighted. The best thing was a large terrace shared with rooms 19-21. This was full of gorgeous plants and spectacular views over the cat cat valley. We had made friends with. people in our group so it was lovely to sit outside and have a few beers after a days trekking.

The beds are comfy, the towels a bit thin, but hey you are not paying for luxuries. It is also located away fro. The church that rings bells every morning at 5am and one of the more noisy bars. Would recommend.

Stayed here a couple of nights, very nice and clean. The bathroom smelled a little off but other than that it was nice, decided to stay anyways.
The staff was very friendly, and even in the 10$ room we received fresh towels everyday, our bed was made and they changed our trash.
Other than a smelly bathroom, nothing major to complain about.
Staff very friendly!
