This place is everything my fellow reviewers have said. A simple hotel but perfect in terms of the service you receive from Mr David and Mr Kim. Nothing is a problem and you are treated like a long lost friend.
Let Mr David organise trecks with a local guide for you. We had a day and a half of trecking in the hills and it was truly wonderful. Our guides were women dressed in their tribal costume who walked us through the rustic villages and rice terraces of this remarkable and beautiful hillside country. We hardly saw another tourist. Fantastic.
I cannot really add much more to the other reviewers about this hotel other than to say that if we ever return to Sapa we would stay here. Our two teenage sons who had their own room would agree. The service here is 5 star but without the price.More
