The hotel overlooks the valley and the views are absolutely stunning.

It is a small, but steep walk up from town.

The staff are very very friendly and want you to make the most out of your time there.

We were provided with an early check in (very welcome after the night train) and a late check out on leaving. This was extremely helpful.

The breakfast is very good.

Overallm cant say enough good things about this one - pound for pound, probably the best we stayed in travelling for nearly a month in Laos and Vietnam.

We were fortunate enough to arrive in Sapa with no agenda (or hotel booking) and spent one morning wandering around the city to view various hotel prospects. In the end, we booked with Hmong Sapa Hotel because of the following (in no particular order):

1) the views were amazing (beware that some hotels will advertise a mountain view, but all you get is a view obstructed by a grassy hill...guess that means they weren't lying either)
2) staff was extremely attentive and English was more than sufficient
3) it was up the hill a little, and therefore away from the noises of the town (honking)
4) the room was clean, modern/nicely decorated, and quite western (mostly meaning that it didn't have fluorescent lights and the shower was separated from the rest of the bathroom)
5) we had a private terrace with a full view. The dining terrace had an incredible view as well.

The hotel offered us an upgrade on the room for free (hence the terrace). Given all the points above, this was certainly a great deal. We loved it so much we stayed for 5 days. Koala and the lady at the front desk (I never got her name) definitely made sure we felt like we were at home. Additionally, the hotel never pressured us to take their tours, which is a plus.

Only downside: coffee at the hotel was so-so. Being in a place like Vietnam, we expected better.

Note: there is a laundry place across the street that was fantastic and cheap: 15,000 VND/kilo clothes AND 30,000 VND to wash your shoes. Believe me, you will want to wash your shoes after a trek. She did our shoes same day, they look like new!

My balcony had the most incredible mountain views, as does the dining terrace. The staff were always welcoming, cheerful, polite, happy and never too busy to assist with any requests. This is the only place I will ever stay in Sapa - at least one holiday each year here forever.........................

Room Tip: Mountain view!!

This was a beautiful place to stay the staff especially Kien nickname Koala was lovely. The only small complaint is as the phone in room doesn't work you are constantly up and down stairs to ask anything from reception on ground floor we were on 5th floor but that's the only complaint as food was lovely we had a delicious hot pot with fresh local salmon for dinner served be Kien ... very very nice

The hotel is located in a very nice place with great view to valley. I like to having breakfast in front of beautiful valley. The rooms are spacious with large window. there are somethings which are not so suitable in bathroom like cothes hanger , locker..etc but i hope these will be repaired soon. they have heater under each bed which is very good in winter time there. They pay attention to decor hotel with colorful flowers so they change folowers in public area frequently this is really cozy and interesting. The price is reasonable with 3 star hotel in Sapa.
