Our family did the 3.5km trek to Cat Cat village and the 12 km trek in the valley to a couple of other villages. Our guide Quang was fantastic! He interacted well with our group of a number of different nationalities and abilities, ensuring everyone was engaged. He shared some stories and a lot of information about the cultural, lives of the local groups in each location. The 3.5km trek was an easy afternoon adventure, our trek the following day was in the rain, but still easy enough for us to complete. Our hotel hired us rubber boots which were a must to navigate the streams and muddy tracks. In spite of the weather we still had a fab day, and I would encourage everyone to ignore the weather, it's a pretty amazing day in any conditions. Highly recommend this company and Quang.

We did the 3D, 2N tour. Our guide, called Hung, was a young guide which was really professional and got sense of humour.
The hike was very nice but pretty hard (around 13km each day trough the rice fields). You can experience the real local life by this tour. We changed our plans without any additional cost. The company is really flexible. As our homestay wasn’t that good, I gave a 4 instead of a 5 star rating. Overall, we enjoyed our trip. Would recommend.

My daughter and I did the 3.5km trek to Cat Cat Village and the 8km trek to Lao Chai Village with Mae. She was amazing and looked after our every need...which were many as I struggled with the terrain and my daughter's knee played up. Mae is so friendly and we learned so much about black H'mong culture in particular. Ask for a trek with Mae!

Make sure when you visit Sapa you ask for guide "So" she is absolutely amazing.

People from her village help you down & back up the hard track whilst trek to Lao Chai toTa Van over 10km..Make sure yo take plenty of water & hire shoes! Not for those who aren't physically fit..

But a must for anyone wanting to see the real villages..

We did the 1 night, 2 day trekking homestay tour. The trek on the first day was quite dangerous (someone on our tour badly hurt her ankle during this) so make sure u have proper shoes but is very picturesque and shows a different side of life! Lunch was very average but didn’t expect much. Once getting to the homestay we were left to our own devices for hours and were not introduced to the family and nor did they say hello to us! Once having dinner was our first interaction which was cool! Great meal and lots of fun that night playing karaoke. The second day could not be counted as a trek as we just walked to a waterfall which wasn’t really anything to see and then got given 2 min noodles for lunch and it was over! Very disappointed as we thought we were going to explore more and have more interaction with the local people and school children.
Overall it was a good experience and well worth doing but needs some improvements!!
