We have been travelling for over a year around the world and have stayed in 5* to 0* accomodation and this is by far the worst service we have received. The staff are unwelcoming, rude, complacent and arrogant. We had reserved a deluxe mountain view room and we were put on the second floor with a construction site right outside. Not the fault of the hotel but no apologies were given for this inconvenience. Even if this was not the case the balconies are so small you cannot sit out on them. There was no internet in the room. When we phoned to ask about this we were told someone would come down to sort it out. We repeated this process three times and still no one came.
The room amenities stated we would have a bathtub. This was not the case. In fact the shower area was more of a wet room. Not what we were expecting. I opened up a bath towel and it was stained.
The room itself is large, well presented and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was satisfactory and the view from the restaurant is spectacular.
I would not recommend this hotel. We stayed in another hotel for a week in the area and loved it. SaPa is all about the views and the people. This hotel gives you the view from the restaurant but leaves a very bad feel for the people and the place generally!
