When I chose this hotel, I was a bit worried about the stay. No much review over this hotel. Some reviews were totally opposite.
When I arrived at the hotel, all the doubts were gone. Even in the very early morning, they provided the room for our family to help us wash up the dirt overnight. Newly built, the furnishings and equipments in the room were clean and in good condition. We booked the family room. Instead, we had a connecting room with twin and double. It was so spacious for our family, all 4 members. Our kids were crazily happy to run around two rooms during the stay.The staff at the reception were so kind and helpful that they sincerely replyed to my all requests. Even when my husband missed his cell phone at the lobby, they found and kept it safe. Breakfast itself was average, but don't miss their vietnamese noodles, pho bo. It was the best I had in Vietnam. It was beyond what you can expect for breakfast at hotel.
Over all stay at this Sunny Mountain Hotel, was very enjoyable and relaxing. I strongly recommend to stay here when the hotel is maintained in good condition. 1 year later, anything can't be assured in Vietnam.--;

Room Tip: They have a restaurant at the 9th floor, so rooms on the same floor could be noisy.

We stayed here for 1 night in a Deluxe Mountain View Room. Arranged a hotel pick up from Lao Cai for US$7 pp, welcome at train station was less than friendly. When we arrived at the hotel there was confusion over whether we pay the driver or hotel, which was already pre-arranged with hotel, but the reception staff spoke poor English and could not answer many questions until the tour manager arrived later in the morning. We had also heard from other travelers that 9am check in was usual in Sapa due to the train schedule and the early arrival time. We were told 2pm. Management kindly gave us a room for one hour to rest in at no charge. Breakfast was fantastic, breathtaking views and wonderful photos opportunity!!!! Though expensive US$5 . NOTE- the website says there is a heated pool, sauna & jacuzzi. The sauna and jacuzzi were not finished yet, and the pool was not heared, only half full, cold & still building going on! A real let down as we had booked this hotel for the pool. Very new, obvious teething problems, would recommend coming in 2013 once they have got sorted!

Our travel company booked us into this hotel and we got a good deal because it was not quite finished. However, the accommodation was excellent - the hotel is being refurbished and styled very tastefully using lots of natural stone and artwork displays of local jewellery. The restaurant area is at the top of the hotel and has excellent views (some of the best in Sa pa). It is located on the central street in the town and is very convenient for shops and restaurants. Overall a clean, relaxing environment with helpful staff which we would definitely recommend

My time in Sapa was a wonderful, relaxing and breathtaking experience. I would highly recommend staying at the recently built Sunny Mountain Hotel. The brand new comfortable rooms at good prices were unmatched by quality anywhere else. The staff were extremely friendly and more than happy to accommodate any needs. The staying price also included an excellent buffet breakfast on the top deck which also had a breath taking view of the valley. If you are looking for a well priced, safe and well positioned place to stay which offers many bonuses, the Sunny Mountain Hotel is the place for you.

Room Tip: Ask for the cheapest rooms with a view of the mountains. If you stay a number of nights, they can of...
