Stayed here for two nights in late November 2012 and was really impressed. Lovely room with views over the valley. Clean, well appointed with lots of wood in the room and throughout the hotel. Service was excellent and the staff so helpful and friendly. Food was so good in the restaurant that we used it on both evenings. If you are visiting Sapa then this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: Be a couple of floors up with a view out over the valley

Considering the fair price this hotel offers more than you might expect. Cosy, clean rooms with a fireplace that actually worked when we came back from dinner on a chilly day. The breakfast is simple but good, the staff is very friendly and helpfull. Only downside could be that it is a bit out of the centre ( approx. 10 min walk) but if you can get a 'mountain view' room that's worth while walking.

We stayed at Sapa View hotel for 2 nights.Sure that a room with air-con but found almost hotel here without it. ur room was the same but they already set a fireplace inside the room was brilliant. With fireplace, we couls get enough warmless to prevent the cold weather from outside, the hotel staffs were attentive, eager to bring an addional mattress on request. A nice hotel!!!

Booked two deluxe rooms through a travel agent from Hanoi at very good rates. My most important condition to the travel agent was that the rooms must have mountain views. On our arrival on 10 Dec, we were not disappointed. The hotel upgraded one of the rooms to a suite with fantastic panoramic view of the valley and mountains. The deluxe room has two small balconies with equally impressive view. My family and I enjoyed watching the clouds move in and out of the valley and into the town from the comfort of our rooms.

Both the suite and deluxe rooms are very well equipped with in-room safe, fridge, tea making facilities, robes and slippers. There is also a fire-place in the rooms which they lighted for us in the evenings. As the weather was cold, we enjoyed taking long hot showers under the rain showers.

During our first breakfast at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised that we can order any items from an All-you-can-eat menu. The items were freshly cooked and served. During our third and final breakfast there, as there were more guests in the hotel, the breakfast was more of a standard fair buffet breakfast.

The staff in the hotel are very friendly. Despite us trying to clean off the mud after our hikes, our shoes still left dirty marks in the lobby. Instead of frowning at us, they assured us that it was OK and promptly went on to clean away the marks. The manager, David, and another guy at the counter are also very friendly and offered us insights into Sapa. When we needed some travel advice and to contact our agent in Hanoi, they gladly assisted.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a room with a view of the valley and mountains. Rooms 404 and 504 have two balc...

Our group of 10 including children arrived on 10th of november, and had the most enjoyable time in Sapa because of our stay in Sapa View Hotel had exceeded our expectation. We almost have gone to Bamboo Sapa hotel, thank goodness it was full when we tried to book. We believed that Sapa View Hotel had more of quality things to offer, their helpful and friendly staff such as Ms Trang, Manager David and the rest including the hotel owner, who took care of us very warmly and well. We love everything about this hotel, the concept, design, services, cleanliness, location, TamTam restaurant, homely yet cozy feelings, very artistic and relaxing to be. If we ever come back to Sapa we will stay here again, and we will also book all land tours with your hotel.

After a good train journey arrived at hotel ,at 0830 ,unable to get into room but told eat breakfast now as start 12 km trek at 0900!! Our 2 day program that allowed rest from journey on day 1 had been swapped around without consultaton or fore warning . Evening meal back at hotel very average without choice. Rooms adequate but poorly maintained , no mini bar ,no tea making facilities no working bidet hose in toilet ( head jammed and dripping making bathroom floor wet )
Bedding and towels are washed and draped over balcony chairs & tables on top floor, resulting in no-where to sit to enjoy the view . Generally found staff reluctant to assist .
Demand passport back after check in if you can and keep room key on you as left on desk top only , do not trust staff with valuables as they will be stored on or under the desk !! transport arrived at 500 for hour and half journey to lai cho train station , would not stay again and would question the star rating - does not compare to 3 star in Hanoi

At first we would like to thank so much to all the guests who have stayed in our hotel and gave us generous reviews to encourage our team working harder to meet all your demands and we are also hearing all the negative points from our guests to improve better but regarding to this review we are definitely sure that this guest has never come to my hotel and she doesn’t understand how Sapa View Hotel is like.
Let me point out all the things: “no mini bar ,no tea making facilities”
For those thing we don’t need to say because all the guests have been staying in our hotel can tell you that we do have mini bar, tea & coffee making facilities in every room (Even the standard rooms called “supperior garden view rooms).
You said: “Bedding and towels are washed and draped over balcony chairs & tables on top floor, resulting in no-where to sit to enjoy the view”
On the top floor is our fifth floor and each room has it’s private balcony so we are no way to wash or drop the bedding & towels there and we don’t even let our staffs to drop those stuffs in the public area.
You said: “do not trust staff with valuables as they will be stored on or under the desk”
In each room is equiped with one safety box so why did you have to store your valuables at the Reception?. And even if our guests want to store the valuables at the Reception, we still have a very big safety box there to use in the necessary situation.

For all things above we strongly believe this guest has never stayed in our hotel.
Thank you for reading our explanation!
