This is a great value hotel with an incredible view if you can get a balcony room. The rooms are comfortable if a little tired, especially the bathrooms. However that doesn't matter when you consider the service and assistance that Eddie and Tom provide their customers. The greet you on arrival and provide you with a breakfast free of charge and then sit down with you and help plan your stay. Eddie and Tom speak fluent English. Eddie is Tom's cousin and is only 23 or so but has a great manner and is very keen to please and help. After checking out and walking in mud they provided us with a room for free to shower.....very kind!

Room Tip: Get the balcony rooms. Amazing views over the valley.

Stayed one night for a two day trek of the saps region. Food and staff were very good but rooms were very basic and did not feel clean. To top things of just before sleep we were visited by a few cockroaches. We did report them to the hotel but the guy who came to remove them was petrified by them so I ended up doing it myself.

They were very apologetic about the whole thing but we still stayed in the same room which meant I had little sleep and my partner had none as she was freaked out by them all.

Also currently a building site next door so very noisy but only during the day. In short I would not return or recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights and 3 full days.
The price is great and correct for the rooms, the service is above and beyond and some of the best we have had in Vietnam. Eddie is a star, he even cleaned out boots after our trek. We were given extra breakfasts and a room to freshen up before our overnight train.
We were invited for dinner one night too and had a great time with the family and friends of the hotel.
Great place, highly recommended.

After arriving in the early morning from an overnight train, not having a booking we went straight to Casablanca thanks to lonely planet. We were greeted with a friendly welcome from Eddie, who showed us a clean room with everything we needed in and complementary breakfast! Also Eddie (very good at English) gave us a map with tips for our stay in Sapa, and really went out if his way to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. The hotel staff are excellent and on our last night the owner, Mr Tom, invited us to share an amazing dinner with his family. Thank you all you made our stay in Sapa very enjoyable and I can't recommend Casablanca enough to anyone staying in Sapa. We love you Eddie!

After travelling through South East Asia for over four months I can honestly say I have not had better service anywhere else.

My travelling companions and I - all backpackers - arrived from the night train from Hanoi early and our room wasnt ready, so after being greeted and having a cup of tea, we were treated to breakfast while we waited.

All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and while our room wasn't the most modern of places, it was comfortable and the blankets warm against the slight Sapa chill at night. The view from our little balcony was absolutely awesome.

The staff helped us with a motorbike tour, and had suggestions of where we should visit and information to help us. They also assisted us in getting a minivan back to the train, and stayed to wave us off.

All in all one of the most memorable places I've stayed at in South East Asia.

Thankyou, Casablanca Hotel!

Do yourself a favour and visit Sapa and stay in Casablanca Hotel. Myself and my boyfriend are on a 3 month tour of South East Asia and so far this has been our favourite hotel. We arrived early in the morning on the train from Hanoi and we were greeted by Eddie, the hotel manager, one of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever met. First he gave us breakfast of pancakes with chocolate, crusty bread rolls and as much tea as we could drink then he showed us to our room. The rooms are spacious and clean and have the most amazing view of the mountains. The next day we were introduced to Tom, the owner, again one of the nicest people ever! He even invited us to have dinner with his family one evening, the food was authentic and delicious, even though it was totally unfamiliar to me.
We booked a home stay through the hotel, which was great fun and really good value ($35 for a trekking guide, food for 2 days, a night in a village home and a bus back to the hotel), we also rented a moped for a day for only $5 and Eddie advised us on some beautiful places to visit, including love waterfall and silver waterfall. The scenery here is nothing short of breathtaking and with Eddie's advice we got to see so much of it.
I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, Eddie, Tom and all the guys at Casablanca made sure that we had the most comfortable and unforgettable stay. I booked this place based on the previous TripAdvisor reviews and I wasn't disappointed!
