We stayed here for two nights and the service was great. However, the beds we hard (even by Vietnamese standards) and the rooms were only average. The bathroom showers were just a spout (in one room, right on top of the toilet). The views were great and the manager was super nice and helpful, but there are many better options in Sapa for a similar price range. I would recommend staying at Sapa Boutique Hotel over this one. The price range is the same and the quality is much better.

Sapa Eden Hotel is located quite far from town, as a result, it is so quiet. We could enjoy every minute of our stay in this hotel. We really enjoy the way the staff served us, so friendly and helpful. They always asked us if we felt comfortable during our stay, and of course with a smile on their face. Their English was perfect, their enthusiasm was great. We really enjoy having breakfast while crossing our eyes to the valley.

We wanted to save time so almost our booking were made through the hotel: the train, the pick-up service, the tour around town…everything went smoothly and we had nothing to worry.

The manager of the hotel was very young but his professionalism was exceptional. He knew every little thing we needed and tried his best to help us.
The room that we stayed was the one that face the valley, it has the awesome view. Despite the fact that it is not big, we liked it, very clean and comfortable.
Finally, we did enjoy our stay in Sapa Eden Hotel.

this was a quiet little hotel near the end of the path of hotels on the way to cat cat village. however, all that is changing as the path is being expanded into a road and new hotels are being built next door. nevertheless, eden was a nice stay. it is not actually a new hotel, but a newly renamed hotel since end of 2009. the current owners had rented and operated the hotel from its previous owner (next door). the owners are a nice vietnamese family who were really helpful during our stay. the best thing about our room (#306) was the spectacular view in the morning. you would get the same view up in the roof top restaurant (aka more like a spacious breakfast room). next best thing about our room was the cable tv. there isn't much to do in sapa after 9-10pm so it was nice to get some english channels. the worse thing about the room were the moths at night! because there are no screens on the windows, you cannot really open them at night to enjoy the cool mountain breeze otherwise 100's of moths will fly in. i'm not sure if this is a fault of the hotel or is common at all hotels in sapa where there are no screens on the windows. it's a pity because the air is really cool and refreshing but we didn't get a chance to enjoy it.

lastly, one thing that bothered us about the hotel was that the staff would enter our room as soon as we left. there was almost no sense of privacy and we felt like we had to always lock up all our personals because there were no safes in the room. albeit, it was nice of them to clean up asap, but it would have been nice to have the option for privacy or make-up room.

You can go to Sapa without booking a hotel room in advance, but seeing the persitant and agressive sales people, that in Vietnam you always seem to get, jump all over tourists getting out of the bus with their 'I don't know where to go now look', makes you happy have made that call a few days earlier.

Having booked Sapa Eden is another plus in the start of your trip (paid 30USD for the room). Driving through Sapa's main street in the bus from the rail station makes you wonder if you arrived in the rustique environment Sapa claims to be or in Disneyland. Luckily, Sapa Eden is just 2 blocks away on the edge of the town with no other hotels / bars / restaurants in immediate sigtht and has a great view on the valley.

Sapa Eden is a family owned hotel and you experience the hospitality from the start. After the train ride (which ends at 5am!) and a 1.5hour ride in the bus with too many tourists packed together, you are welcomed with breakfast (pay 3USD extra) and an early check in (which means some extra hours of sleep in a bed).

We choose not to go trekking, but to rent motorcycles and drive through the (most beautiful for sure) surroundings because a) it gets you much further (and everywhere were you would normally walk), b) it's fun and c) we may be a bit lazy (hey, it's holiday right?). Sapa Eden arranged the motorcycles for us (what all hotels probably will) but they also went for gas for us twice. To be sure that we would not get stuck, they pre-empitvely changed my tire.
Also, they gave us great tips where to go and how to get there.

All in all, the service was above expectations.

Only downside is the bus company they used to pick us up from the train and drop us of there as well. To our feeling, they just want to get your money. In the return ride from Sapa to the train they offer to get the train tickets for you (which you have already pre-booked, but you must get the actual tickets at the station). Seems like a very friendly thing. Altruism? No, they drop you of 500m from the train station at a restaurant where you can relax before the train leaves. Fine, but I would prefer to know in advance that this is THEIR restaurant before being dropped there to overpay for food & drinks! Could this also be the reason they drop you of at the train station 1.5 hours before the train leaves (personally I would prefer to stay in Sapa an hour longer)?
Anyway, we found out because we left the restaurant to sit at the neighbouring restaurant (same food but cheaper) and they actually got pissed about it. Hey if you are running a scam, my hat off for successfully pulling it off, but I can't understand why they blew their cover by being pissed at us about it. So, word of advice, eat at the neighbours!

The manager and his team are very friendly. We arrived very early in the morning 6hrs and we received immediately the key for our room to have some extra sleep and a shower. Without checking our credit card passport etc. just the email confirmation. The young lady working gave a tour in the area and we would like to thank her very much for the tour and all the information she gave. She just learned English by herself that's so amazing. When we had to check out at noon and wait for the train, so went into town but were finished at 14 hrs. the manager told us we could make use of one of the rooms as not all guests arrived yet. Ok the room is not like the bigger hotels, but I really do not mind especially if you receive this kind of service and friendly and helpfull staff.

We recently stayed in the Sapa Eden Hotel and were very impressed. The rooms are very comfortable and bright with balconies and spectacular views of the valley. The beds and sheet were the most comfortable we had on our whole trip. Zoom and the rest of the staff speak great english and were very helpfull in arranging a trekking guide (ask for Vu) or a motorbike rental. Our room was $30 including breakfast and a shower when we got back from the trek.

In early April, we stayed in Sapa at the Eden Hotel where the rooms were a little basic but the staff were super friendly, helpful and the view simply breathtaking. The staff organized tickets on the train for us, a car to collect us and also a wonderful local guide Lan, who took us on two day treks. Lan has excellent English and is great company. We booked by emailing the hotel direct.
