Our room was very small and the bathroom was tiny, no shower curtain and when you showered everything was soaked. There is no lift or porter so you need to carry your own bags up to your room. Breakfast has to be pre-ordered the day before and there is very little selection, the only drinks offered were tea and coffee I took my own water since I drink neither tea or coffee. We had a balcony which was good for people watching but there was no-where to sit. Quiet at night although the traffic started from 4am so you will be up bright and early although I can't imagine anyone staying in Chau Doc for more than one night.

Recommended by the LP, but there are better places for the money. Expensive for 22 USD/night, room was relatively clean, but furnishing was old, not enough hot water, the only advantage was the balcony. Complimentary breakfast was very simple and insufficient, also, even though you need to register for the breakfast (including the time of the breakfast), the staff was not able to prepare the breakfast on time. Except for one guy, the staff was not very friendly or helpful.

You can definitely find cheaper and more comfortable place in the centre of Chau Doc.

Great location in central Chau Doc,near the market. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Staff are very helpful - booking an onward ticket on the boat to Phnom Penh was very easy. Excellent value for money!

Clean place with friendly staff in an exciting area of town. For the cost can't complain at all. Agree that the shower over the toilet is awkward, but for the one night we were there we could cope just fine. Loved our big balcony overlooking the market -- made for great people watching. Didn't have any issues with it being too loud off the market. Breakfast (included) was very good. The young lady who was working at the front desk was absolutely outstanding and spoke phenomenal English. She arranged private transport for us to HCMC and called several times while en route to ensure that everything was okay and that there were no language barriers we couldn't overcome with our driver. Well above and beyond what was required or expected, but made it stand out as a hotel we'd recommend. The room itself was basic, but all we needed for our stopover between Phnom Penh and HCMC. Admittedly, the room smelled a bit of stale cigarette smoke when we first arrived, but that dissipated relatively quickly after having the balcony open. Overall, great value for money.

Great value for price, good area. Unfortunately I have not grown accustomed to showering over toilets. Breakfast was quite good. Iced coffee was great, as I'm not a fan of the Vietnamese coffee (too sweet) this was a great choice.

We stayed here for just 1 night en route to Saigon on an Intrepid tour. I am not convinced that there is actually a nicer hotel in the town so don't be put off by my review! The town is a hecticly busy bustling town, it feels as if every single resident is up and walking or riding a motor bike on the streets around the hotel. The hotel itself has good Internet which was a big plus. You have to choose breakfast when you arrive as it is brought in from outside. I had the fried eggs and baggette, a definite winner, very tastie. The coffee is good too. The room we had was very small and not very clean. The bathroom was so small you actually had to stand next to the toilet to shower beneath the facet with no shower curtain or door - it would take too much room. I wasn't convinced that the bedding had been changed either, but maybe they just don't iron linen in this remote little town? The reception speaks excellent English and was very helpful. The hotel has no lift so you have to carry all your bags up a couple of flights of stairs.
The streets around the hotel have loud speakers - between 5 am and 7 am national radio news is broadcast, so there is no way you can possibly sleep after 5am.

Have now stayed here twice and this hotel delivers. The staff speaks good English with great service- they can help with onwards travel and tours in the area. The rooms are small but they are clean - and serviced daily. Breakfast is adequate with a few choices. The market is just opposite and waterfront close by. Enjoyed the tour to the floating market, floating village, fish farm and Cham village. Also enjoyed the motorbike ride to Sam Mountain to see the sunset. Try the fantastic restaurant Bay Bong around the corner - super meals.
