I ended up at the Ky An at 8pm on a Saturday night when I was unable to find any other available room anywhere in the town. I was beginning to panic, thinking that I would be spending the night out on the street, a thought which as I, a female, solo traveling, mobility handicapped, senior did not relish. I took the first room available and it was the Ky An's last room, having tried at least a dozen other places first.
The Ky An is just around the corner from the bus station. I was woefully overcharged, $30 for a room which was not worth any more than $10 maximum.
The room was large, had 3 beds in it, but no sheets on the bed. There was no hot water. The rate did not include breakfast, and the place was very loud. It seemed as if every noise amplifying building material and technique has been used in its construction. The lobby was used as a garage for their cars.
Avoid the Ky An if at all possible.
