During a recent trip to Bali we viewed this villa with a December stay in mind, and were so impressed that we changed our existing accommodation and immediately spent 10 nights there.
The quality of this newly built villa is sensational. It has been designed and furnished with comfortable living in mind; from big beds and couches, all the way down to plentiful and accessible power outlets!
The small yard and tropical gardens are beautiful, as it the bale at the end of the pool, and with tall stone fences surrounding the villa and yard, privacy and security are assured.
Most walls on the ground and first floor open up through sliding doors or louvered windows, creating the most amazing cooling breezes throughout the home. The property does have aircon in each room, however this was not required at all during our August stay.
The villa features 4 bedrooms scattered throughout the property. One bedroom with ensuite is on the ground floor, and is perfect for anyone who doesn’t like stairs. It has large sliding doors that open onto a sitting area and garden, and provide direct access to the generous pool.
Two further bedrooms with ensuites are on the first floor, as is a second lounge area and balconies overlooking rice fields and mountains, with views to Canggu and Echo Beaches.
The master bedroom on the top floor features two large balconies with spectacular views, as well as an amazing and incredibly large open air bathroom with twin sinks, bath and shower. Whilst this bedroom also has an air con, the sea breezes that come in through the louvered windows and large sliding doors provide a very comfortable temperature throughout the day and evening.
The positioning of the bedrooms is well thought out, allowing each room space and privacy.
The location of the villa, situated in the middle if rice fields, is ideal for a quiet and relaxing stay. It’s 5 minutes from the Canggu Club / Canggu Deli and well as multiple restaurants, 10 minutes to Echo Beach (by motorbike, slightly longer by car) and only 15 minutes by car to the amazing shopping and restaurant district of Seminyak. It’s probably not within easy walking distance to anywhere, but with taxi’s so cheap and accessible, transport shouldn’t be a problem. We hired a motorbike during our stay and had a great time exploring the local area.
The villa is staffed by Yadi and Aida, who are delightful and thrive in sharing their culture with guests. They are available to do anything that you could possibly need, from grocery shopping and cooking, to daily on site laundry. They can even arrange a local driver and an in-villa massage for you.
On that, I’d recommend Coco from Gede Mahayasa Tourist Driver, and Nyoman from Dream Spa and Beauty Salon. Yadi has the contact details.
There are plenty of things to do / places to go locally. The Tuesday Night Pizza Club on Pantai Berewa has awesome food (pizza, pasta, salads), and delivers. Bungalow, also on Pantai Berewa is a sweet little café with amazing food and atmosphere and gorgeous homewares. Go and see Giovanni who will look after you.
For something more upmarket, La Finca in Batu Belig (10 minutes by car) is a new Spanish Tapas restaurant. Great food, great ambiance, great fun.
Also in Batu Belig (slightly further away) is Naughty Nuri’s. These guys have great ribs, but book ahead. They are always packed.
A great way to spend your Sunday afternoon is at Echo Beach Club (at Echo Beach). Sit and watch the sun sink into the sea, then stick around for a bbq (fresh seafood, meats, salads). Zhana and his band play from 630pm, and will keep you all entertained.
Overall, I was very happy with this villa. It offered great value for money in a homely atmosphere. We also ended booking for December, and I can see this villa quickly becoming our home away from home.
Enjoy.
