“Lovely place to unwind with attentive staff!”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

Our flight was slightly delayed due to a volcano eruption, but the smiling face of Jana was at the airport to greet us and swiftly transport us to this lovely villa, arriving late at night. First impressions we were somewhat unsure, as we pulled up to a little carpark infront of the villa where first thing you see is a storage/laundry room, which was overflowing with empty bottles, bags of rubbish and boxes! but once inside the gate, our fears were allayed. The villa itself is minimalist, clean and comfortable, with a sofa you cannot get up from! Canggu is a nice quiet area, just north of Seminyak, where we just wanted to relax for a few days and totally unwind and acclimatise.. and this was was the perfect place! With only the 2 of us, the villa was more than ample, with a spacious living area, and big pool. The staff were most attentive at our requests and it was lovely to have the cook prepare meals,(average) and Jana, the driver, to take us where we wished, (altho' our expectations were that we had the driver for 8 hours per day for free, as stated in our booking... but we were asked to contribute petrol money??? Maybe this was due to the extremely cheap price we obtained the villa at last minute. Not that we minded..but not expected...) Breakfasts were on time & plentiful, with the nicest mixed fruit drinks! Massages and manicures ordered inhouse, were indulgent. The king sized bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in...waking to the mooing of the cows in the field next to the villa. Overall, a relaxing experience. I would highly recommend this place, especially with the pool fencing, if you had small children.

Wow! We stayed 12 nights in villa 1 and from meeting our driver Jana at the airport, to the staff, the meals, the villa itself, everything in our eyes was way above expectations. Ketut and his staff are wonderful people who go out of their way to make your stay perfect.

The villa is enormous and was heaps of room for our family of 5. The pool got a huge workout and having the option of retreating to the upstairs living area to watch a DVD in air-conditioned comfort was very handy after some big days sightseeing.

Meals were always delivered on time and with a smile and restaurant quality but for such an economical price.

We felt nothing but welcome, safe and secure at all times.

Please don't let the location put you off. Canggu is growing rapidly, but still lots to see and do during a drive to other areas and any shopping for incidentals or money exchange you may need are very close by.

We have to make special mention of our driver Jana. Jana made our holiday extra special. If he had not been as patient, protective and caring our holiday would not have been what it was.

Thank you to everyone at Villa Echo Padi. We will be back!

The three bedroom villa is nice and clean. Staffs are very kind and driver speaks very good English. Kids love to spend time in the swimming pool. Food is okay. The massage is just okay though price is cheap. I will recommend to have spa outside instead.

My family and I wish to thank you for providing a wonderful place to stay on our holiday.
The set-up was overwhelming at first but we soon got used to the open rooms and the peaceful nights.
The pool fence was a must and the gate at the stairs a god send.

The staff were brilliant.
From our arrival at the airport, Gede was a gentleman and very reliable driver. He was friendly and helpful with any questions we had about places to see. Very patient with the kids in the car and always smiling.
Mr Ketut, the Manager, was always smiling and happy. Very professional and honest. We always looked forward to seeing him at breakfast time. The kitchen staff was magnificent.

Nita, and her helper Gus, is a wonderful cook and clearly will be a great Chef one day. She is a gem and very talented, the meals provided were always very delicious and satisfying. Easy to see she loves her job.
The rest of the staff were just so friendly and helpful all the time. They would not let us lift a finger and were always very happy to see the children. They were especially helpful for my mum when my husband and I attended the wedding and she was left with the three children to look after. Yuli provided great service with the boys, always smiling, getting our laundry done.
And the masseurs were fantastic. They even came back for another session and to braid my daughter's hair despite being very busy with their own family commitments.
Overall you have done well in hiring all these wonderful people and, as long as they are around, we would highly recommend your villas to other families and hopefully return someday ourselves.

Room Tip: All rooms are great. Downstairs easier for toddlers/portacots. Or for more privacy.

Just spent 10 nights at this fantastic villa with my wife, daughter and my parents. It is without doubt the best place that we have ever stayed whilst in Bali ( been +20 times ). It is large, clean, comfortable and beautifully designed both indoors and out. Anyone wanting to just relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak/Legian but still within touching distance of the action will love this place.

Everything you need is catered for by the staff and nothing is to hard for them even when you feel you are asking a bit much of them. The manager Ketut is there every morning to make sure all your needs are met. The cleaners/cooks do a fantastic job and you have your own driver for 8 continuous hours per day which is great. Our driver Jata was such a nice guy we all became good friends by the end of our trip and he would go out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us.

The villa has australian standard pool fencing which was great for our 4 year old and the garden and roof terrace were fantastic. It's location was so peacefull as well......a real paradise in Canguu.

Don't hesitate if you have been looking at this villa, we will definitely be back in the future. And my belief is that this is the next up and coming area of Bali in respect to development

Until next time......;-))))

The villa was faultless, the staff and driver gave us the most generous, humble, cheerful service I have ever experienced in my life.

The villa was huge, clean and fully equipped - I loved sitting on the sun terrace in the evening. The staff could not do enough to help us, the villa was kept spotless, the staff were so friendly, wonderful with the children and our driver Norman was so helpful and relaxed taking us wherever we wanted and waiting so patiently - we felt so safe with him.

The food in the villa was fresh, healthy, plentiful, tasty and incredible value. Most evenings we had 2 courses for 5 people for about $25 in total. Our most expensive meal cost $45 in total and consisted of 3 courses for 5 people including lobster.

As a busy mum is was a true holiday for me, with the staff taking care of all the kitchen duties, laundry (at a tiny cost) and cleaning the villa, I did not lift a finger.

It is a very quiet location with only a few places within walking distance. Our driver Norman was so accommodating that the location was not a big problem. We walked to Berawa beach most days (5 mins) , stopping off at Serenity Villa (3 mins) for a coffee or smoothie. Echo beach is a 5- 10 min drive away and has plenty of eating/shopping options.

If you are a family looking for a relaxing holiday to spend time together in total luxury and comfort - this is the place.

We cannot wait to go back :)

We decided on this villa has we were traveling in a group (10 of us). Hence booking 2 villas was just ideal for us.

Plus side of the Villa:
Each villa come with 3 bedrooms, hence it was a comfortable fit for 10 of us.
The beach was only 150 meters away, just walk out of the villa to the road and turn right. The beach was lovely as it was not a populated area, hence it was clean and peaceful.
The sand is naturally brown and black in this area.

View from the villa was very peaceful with the padi fields stretching to the left and the ocean on the right.
Each villa came with a private pool, to the delights of the childrens who just love to jump in and out of either pool.
The villa also came with a personal chef and chauffeur, which a plus point since it was far away from everything else. (plus breakfast was provided)
This place is quite near to Tanah LOT , a nice place to do shopping with great view of the ocean. Not forgetting the temple which is only accessible during low tide.

Now for the downside of the Villa,
1) loads of insects, but it was a small matter just light up a few insect repellent incense.
2) Although this place was completed in 2009, however it really needs a good repair. Some of the lights of the room was not working. Every thunder storm , the power would trip and we had to flip the switch back on which was located outside the lower ground room.
3) during heavy rains, it seems to flood in a few places, the garden, the TV room upstairs and the foyer upstairs.
4) water would leak in a few places like bathroom and the upstairs bathroom was not practical , as you would need to bath in the rain, a transparent roof would have been great.

It was a family, trip, basically we were satisfied, with the overall of the place.
Would only recommend this place for those who wants peace and quiet. Not for those who wants to explore the place.
