First impressions were good: surrounded by rice-paddies, easy to park, nice space, and lovely pool downstairs. First look at the menu and I started to get worried - burgers, pizza, sate ayam: was it going to be yet another of those Bali restaurants that tries to be everything and ends up being nothing? Still, I was willing to give it a go. First we ordered lime slushies with vodka. First sip: delicious - but wait, where's the vodka? If it was there, there wasn't much of it. I told the waiter that the drink wasn't strong enough and he said he would fix it IF I PAID 50,000 FOR EXTRA VODKA (which, by way, was the price of the drink in the first place!). I declined and that was the last drinks any of out table ordered for the night. My wife and I ordered grilled fish in Balinese spices. They came coated in some sort of green muck (spices - really?) that was even more tasteless than the fish itself. I asked for some sambal to give this thing some flavour and was given a bottle of generic sauce. And my wife's fish was half raw so at least she was able to send her's back. The accompanying salad was ok. The pizza my daughter ordered was covered in a nasty toxic yellow cheese substance. There are so many great places to eat in Bali - this is not one of them.
