Low water pressure in the shower which took your bath time irritatingly long, breakfast food was not warm, grass were not trimmed. It's a bit annoying as well since telephone was not provided in the villa thus we had to went back and forth to informed the staff whenever we need or asked some things. Kudos to privacy and space, though.More

We arrived late at night to the Villa. We had ordered some sandwiches but we get only some juice. Unfortunately Villa Anggrek was not how it looked in the pictures. The Villa was pretty worn, there were mold in the bathtub, the wall plug in the bathroom was loose. In the pool there were 2 crabs, and first night we saw a rat running on top of wall. We were supposed to stay there for 14 nights but firts night was also the last one... Would not recommend...

First of all we deeply apologize for your inconvenience stay at Askara Villa. Regarding staffing most of our butters are on stand by and take orders until 4PM, after that we have security or one housekeeping on standby. Correct me if I am wrong, as far as i tried to communicate with the staffs they did not receive any order for sandwiches, Orange Juice is actually complimentary welcome drinks for our villa guests.
Regarding the wall plug, we really apologize regarding this matter, will closely consider this detail matter for not reoccurring.
Regarding Crabs at the pool, again we do apologize what happened at the pool that time. The Villas are actually located in an outside nature close to rice fields, rivers and mostly open spaces, where somehow reptiles, rats or insects are something out of our control especially in Indonesia. We do perform pest controls regularly and of course housekeeping cleans up before guests checking in.
We deeply apologize if our pictures does not meet your expectation. for pictures, for sure we use photography service for our default villa pictures and of course pictures are edited but in some extent only to make it look more natural (lighting setups). But as a budget luxury villas we strive to give our guests the best service as we can.
Overall we are very sorry if your expectation did meet the reality. We are also trying to improve quality of stays for our guests as affordable luxury villas . We do hope that we could welcoming you back here again anytime.

I still miss Askara Villa! It's incredibly beautiful and spacious with your own private pool, outside kitchen, daybed, huge bedroom with walk in wardrobe and the most beautiful bathroom I have ever seen in Bali so far!
The staff is very welcoming cook you a fresh delicious breakfast every morning. I loved the tranquility of this villa nestled amongst rice fields and only a 10 - 15 min. to Canggu's restaurant, bars and surfspots. The value of this villa is incredible!
The picture on the internet are exactly what it looks like in real life!

I booked Askara Villa in April 2016 to stay in June 2016, my credit card details were provided for confirmation and payment. Upon arrival I was informed by the staff that one of the two Villas I had booked was no longer available. Extremely disappointing as I had been given no notice of this at all prior to arrival. A staff member phoned the owner who told me he had emailed me 3 days prior to tell me the Villa was no longer available but there was no email. He then said that he had tried to call me but I never received a phone call. However I later checked my email and found that the owner had emailed me to cancel the booking 15 minutes prior to check in, whilst we as two families with toddlers were enroute to the accommodation, this was just unacceptable. The owner then offered us another villa at 3 times the cost of the Villas we booked, considering the remoteness of the Villas we felt that this was some sort of scam and of course after the experience we were having so far decided to secure accommodation elsewhere. After asking the staff several times if we could use the internet to get last minute accommodation they did allow us to, however my friend had to pay a staff member so they would call us a taxi. This whole situation could have been avoided if the owner had of given adequate notice of cancellation. Extremely disappointed and obviously will not attempt to stay at these Villas again. Also they are not in Canggu they are further out and taxi driver drove around looking for the Villas for 45 minutes.. really hope this situation doesn't happen to any one else in future.

Really deeply apologize for the big inconvenience caused. On behalf of our supervisor and staffs we are very sorry on should there be our mistakes in handling your bookings. As of CC details at booking.com actually we would still need down payment to secure any bookings as we are not authorized to charge CC provided unless we are given Credit Card Authorization form and physical copy of the card. Please correct us if we are wrong, We think there was a misunderstanding with you and staffs as well, we realized that our supervisor did not notice about bookings for 2 units of one bedroom villas, we are trying to upgrade you to our three bed room villas without any further charges applied but somehow the miscommunication was unavoidable. We are not trying to blame anyone but again on behalf of Askara Villa Management we deeply apologize for what happened. Regarding the place we are sorry if the location does not meet your expectation. We do are located in Canggu just a little bit remote from the middle of Canggu, We have our maps on google maps which can be searched by four square, waze,etc. We do hope you might want to accept our apologies to get free 2 nights stay at our three bed room villas anytime in the near future (kindly mail to: askara.villa@gmail.com). The villa is cozy and private, which my boyfriend love it! The pool and the villa is clean but still the bath tub and sink are a bit run down, it still worth the price paid. The environment is peaceful which you can hear birds singing and cocks 'coco-ing'. To travel out you can get the driver to drive you out, please remember to bring extra cash to pay driver and massages as they are not charge to the room. The manager is nice to explain the credit card payment for the driver and other services will take long time and the locals cannot afford to wait that long. It is reasonable cos it is hard earned money. We are coming back to this villa again!

We visited Bali in March 2016, for our honeymoon and found Askara thanks to TripAdvisor reviews. The villa was beautiful, complete with a private pool. The people were very helpful and the breakfast they cooked for us in the kitchen provided was just great. Special shoutout to Indravati who was attentive and sweet — making it an even better experience.
