“SPENDING MY 50th BIRTHDAY in BALI”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

My impressions about Zala villa?? I enjoyed every second of our stay. Waking up in the morning, jumping in to the pool, eating delicious coconut pancakes and fresh tropical fruits for the breakfast, exploring beauties of Bali, coming back home to villa, having massages, watching owner Ida making Balinese dinner, having some beers in the livingroom with launge music.... I alredy miss these day, a lot!!

This year I celebreted 50 years so I wanted to be memorable. I decided to visit Bali and because I wanted to have everything in one package, I decided for Andrej 'cause I heard so much about him! And I didn't regret. As you can see from the photos, they organized surprice bd party at our villa with hindu decoration and delicous chocolate cake!! We celebrated together with other guests and we had great time. Who cares about the headache next mornin'?!
It's kinda long drive to the north but it's worth it. Swimming with dolphins relaxes you & give you so much energy!!
We also enjoyed our visit to Dreamland beach and drinking the most expensive coffee in the world – kopi luwak!! And the food, whatever we tasted delisious.
We stayed for 14 days but now we know that next time we have to come for longer 'cause when you are enjoying yourself, the days are passing by so fast!!
We will be back for sure!

I came with a group to Villa Zala Bali and experience the program that Andrej Zorko made for us is the best thing that can happen to us on our holidays.

First, because villas are exquisite, program is perfectly vivid and because we also had a Slovenian guide, that is friendly and most of all - knows everything about this beautiful island.

It's really beautiful and program is full of happening!

Villas with swimming pools are great.
Rooms are perfect, cleaned every day and are beautiful, stylish as they can be.
Villas are in a remote area, close to Kuta, so you can also have a day for yourself at the swimming pool with varied choices of good Asian food and fresh juices.

It is so great to wake up every day and drink fresh juice and eat good breakfast that stuff brings it to you silently.
Stuff too is really nice - friendly, kind and housewarming.

The whole area is beautiful, because it is on the rice fields and it is full of palm trees, coconuts and other Asian vegetation.

And more - Andrej has also tropical animals in Villas: parrots, iguanas - true tropical island beauty!

Staying in Villa Zala Bali was so nice also because Andrej always answered the questions that we asked him.

I warmly recommend you to stay in Villa Zala Bali.
Nina

This is the third time I have visited this beautiful place. Andrej and Ida are incredibly nice people who do their business with heart and soul. The villas are amazing, the views and the scenery breathtaking and the service wonderful. I have traveled a lot in my life but never did I get such luxurious treatment for such a nice price. They treat you like royalty and they really act like you are the king or queen. It's nice because you can hang out with other guests (and with the owners) if you wish so and if not, you barely have to see anyone.
The owners pick you up if you need that and if not, they can direct the driver who is bringing you so that you arrive to the premises with no problem at all. They do everything and more for you, provide with what you need and nothing is difficult for them. The staff are amazing, never in your way and still do their job more than efficiently. The food is wonderful, the fresh fruit is always there and you can get a massage and watch the sunset and enjoy the colors of beautiful Bali.
You feel like you're living in paradise, there are birds and lizards around, the greenery is luscious and still the trip is not boring - if you want, you can lounge around all day and if not, you can take trips, see the healer, ride elephants, visit rice fields and volcano, etc. It can be romantic for a honeymoon and it can be a family trip or an adventure with your friends. Whatever you need, you can get here. If only I could move there... :)

While off the beaten track, Zala Villa is a gem if you are looking for a relaxing getaway. The villa had different birds and lizards living downstairs, but they don't disturb you except for some noise in the morning/afternoon.

While it may be a tricky find if you dont get the owner Andrej to pick you up, he/the staff will be more than glad to direct the driver with a phonecall. There was immaculate service by Andrej and his staff who would go out of their way to get things done for you if needed, whenever possible. They helped to buy some cans of coke and also had massage service despite it being 10pm because it was very much needed.

The room was very clean and the view from the toilet bathtub of the rice field was amazing, especially at sunset. Andrej's staff came and went quietly, and would alert you when breakfast was served.

Highly recommended!

What to say when all others already have pointed out the most important facts that you have to know about the villa? It was my first trip to Asia & I survived it without a scratch. No diaria, no unfriendly locals... 17 days of pure bliss. Yes, the traffic is hectic but you have your own driver, Andrej or Andy ( local guy but with very good english ), so you don't have to worry about it. What to do, what to see?? First of all, DO NOT say no to the pancakes served for breakfast!! Swimming with dolphins is a must, visiting the healer - well, it's up to you but he can change your life, balinese massage in villa - you have to try it; elephant back ride - it's on my list for the next visit that we'll include also rafting, sunrise from the top of the volcano, going back to all favorite restaurants & last but not least - clubbing!! It doesn't matter how old you are, what music you like, you will find your favorite club!! In short - if you are visiting Bali, the Zala villa Bali is one and only choice!! Friendly owners with personal approach, good location, nice design... See you next year!!!

I have travelled a lot in my life and am not a stranger to either a backpackers inn or a five star resort, but I have to say that The Zala Villa was my best experience so far. I travelled with my husband and two year old daugther and she especially loved the pool and all the animals in and around the villa. Me and my husband were delighted over delicious food and the atmosphere, because it is really amazing.
The location is nice, because it is a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet is is still very near Kuta if you want to go shopping or to the beach.
Also amazing is the owner Andrej, his family and the staff - they're all very nice and they really make sure that the trip stays in your best memories. WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING THERE AGAIN AND WE STRONGLLY RECOMEND IT!!

The beginning of the holiday was already forecast for the next 14 days: Andrej (the owner) came to pick up us at the airport and also in the following days we didn’t have to deal with the chaotic traffic. The Villa Zala is well-groomed, clean, with a beautiful view of rice fields. In our villa we are also housed parrots, cockatoos, turtles, frogs and fish, which adds a special charm to all together. Food in the villa, which concerns Ida (owner’s wife), was excellent. Bars where we were headed by Andrej is carefully selected. Andrej constantly adjusted the ambitious program, which is effortless. In between are free days, which suit our requirements, we wanted the program wouldn’t be overly crowded. As many animals as we have here in the hands (of course, if you wanted) in life we never had yet - a parrot, toucan, eagle, turtle, monkey, iguana, luwak, lion cub,…swimming with dolphins has been by far the most awesome experience.

The staff is very friendly. Andrej has served us with many information and suggestions, if you didn’t have any idea what to do or where to get something to eat. Andrej care for all and uphold even the most unusual wishes, even tasting durian along the road is not an impossible mission. The brain can literally put the "neutral", as it should be the holiday. Three other couples have been on vacation at the same time as we were, with whom we were driven by Andrej with his minivans all over the Bali. We were also on the same level with them and we spend excellent time together and have so much fun. Andrej took a photo of us everywhere we went and his photos are really professional. Because of his excellent knowledge of the island we were presented Bali from all possible perspectives.

In short - we ended holiday full of beautiful memories themselves. The only remark that we have is that it all passed too quickly, which means that such a vacation in Bali should be repeated and we can’t imagine this could be somewhere else than in the Villa Zala.
