We stayed at Ametis in early October for our honeymoon. Having read the reviews our expectations were quite high and the place did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated royally and the standard of the villa itself is simply second to none. There were some minor issues with mosquitos which were dealt with swiftly and our butler, Astawa, was first class. He ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible and arranged all our day trips and restaurant bookings without fuss.

The only piece of constructive criticism I would have is that whilst the food is at the Villa is good, you might expect more from Villas of this standard. That being said, the quality of the meals available is good and with the international standard restaurants in Seminyak close by and the cafes of Echo Beach a short bike ride away there is no shortage of top quality eating options.

Anyway, we had a wonderful time and would recommend the place to anyone.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Jade villa

I am a regular visitor to Bali and have been very fortunate to be able to stay at Ametis Villa twice before. I agree with the majority of the tripadvisor reviews for the property's perfect hospitality and service. From the airport pick-up by your personal butler, everything is perfect and you just cannot ask for more until you leave there. The villas at Ametis Villa are huge and super stylish and I just love doing nothing but relaxing and swimming in the comfort of my own beautiful villa. Hats off to Ms. Akiko, general manager of Ametis, who is always around to make sure all guests are happy and enjoying their time. The butlers at Ametis are friendly and extremely professional. I have been looked after by Adi (sadly he has left Ametis) and Dika in the past and both of them made my stays wonderful and memorable. Also the treatments at Ruby Spa at Ametis are the best I have ever received in Bali. I will definitely go back to Ametis Villa in the near future.

What can be said about the Ametis...it's beautiful, incredibly private with a design aesthetic that feels luxe and livable. We stayed in the Jade villa and it exceeded our expectations. First of all, the attention to detail in the design was a beautiful blend of modern and traditional Balinese. The room is spacious and minus the bedroom, blends indoors and outdoors almost seamlessly. The service was great with butler service at your fingertips. They do include a couple of Bintangs and a cocktail daily which was nice, and the Ruby Spa was one of the most relaxing we'd experienced in our Bali stay. We had a great butler (Gus) who also brought us out for the day into Kuta/Seminyak with a final stop at Tanah Lot for the sunset. Be sure to take the 5 minute walk to Canggu Beach for sunset or grab one of the villa bikes and take the 5 minute bike to Echo Beach.

Nothing beats the privacy of the villa, the private pool and the ability to relax in your own covered living room. Breakfasts were delicious and the service prompt and impeccable. Ordering in is reasonable too...the menu price points were actually not bad and the food itself was good.

I'd highly recommend this fantastic resort if you want low key with good access to beaches and a space that if you don't leave it, doesn't feel small. Simpy incredible

Room Tip: The Jade villa is fantastic...it's inside the resort compound and the noise you hear is from thi...

We stayed at Ametis for 5 days recently as our annual summer beach getaway. All the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor made us really excited to see this place in real. But as we were trying a new villa in a relatively new area <Canggu>, there was always a slight apprehension in us that it would be a big disappointment. But all our worries were banished away the moment our van made its way to the villa. Canggu itself is such a charming area, serving the backdrop for our perfect holiday. And the villa is nothing short of amazing! Ametis may be small but is so perfectly formed from the design, landscaping, location and service! Design was in vernacular traditional style distilled with a modern eye. We were overwhelmed by the feeling of spaciousness in our villa and the expanse of outdoor lush space was just what we needed from our city life! Everything was well proportioned in design, the bedroom, the living room etc and best of all the beautiful bathroom! The pool was so huge and beautiful! Our only slight issue was there could be more lighting in the bedroom after dark but it wasn't a big deal. We were there to relax anyway. Location was perfect, only a few minutes away from the beach with great vibrant energy of surfers trying to find the perfect wave. We love it. And the OM cafe by the beach is a must go: charming and full of rustic character. The Deus Ex Machina ten minutes walk from Ametis is the coolest place ever; live music, art gallery, boutique and restaurant all rolled into one right in the middle of rice fields! The Ametis service was flawless. Very personal without being overbearing or over attentive. They know when to make their presence felt and when to leave you alone. We have to commend on our butler Pasek for taking care of us so well and respecting our need for privacy. We also enjoyed the half day trip we got Ametis to arrange for us. The staff were just so friendly and helpful. We have to thank Ametis for giving us a villa that is private and serene which was exactly what we requested. The food was yummy but could do with a bit more variety. All in all, our holiday in Ametis was amazing and has given us some really great memories we will remember forever. I cannot think of any reason not to recommend Ametis to anyone and we would love to come back next year for our annual summer break.

We stayed here for two nights with another couple in adjoining villas and had the time of our lives. The villas themselves were far and away to best place I've ever stayed. I believe that they were built originally to be sold as homes, which shows in the level of finish, furniture, fixtures and fittings, meaning it did feel like you were staying in someone's luxury home rather than in a hotel. The bed is the biggest I've ever seen and the in general scale of the place is huge - photos don't do it justice. The service was fantastic from the sundown cocktails to the attentive butler service - a special mention to Gede Adi our butler for our stay. The one thing that I would say that could improve slightly was the food. We had breakfast in our villa on the first morning and it was a bit cold by the time the table was set up, didn't taste that fresh etc. Afternoon tea was also included however this wasn't afternoon tea as I'd expected it to be, more of a cup of tea with a canapé rather than a selection of fresh sandwiches, scones and cakes (as it'd been at the Samaya in Ubud where we'd stayed earlier in our holiday). There was also confusion with our booking but the hotel sorted this out well and it actually meant that we ended up saving money on our trip which was a bonus. Overall - first class!!

my husband and I stayed at the ametis villa on our honeymoon for 1 week. it was more than we expected, the photos don't do any of the villas justice, each villa has there own private pool and amazing interior and exterior designs. everything is catered to your needs and wants, there was nothing our "butler" (dika) couldn't do!! he was more a friend than anything else, he looked out for us, took us to wonderful places, my personal favourite the beautiful rice fields in ubud, he did not disappoint in anyway. that was our first time traveling to bali and dika made us feel safe and secure, especially when you don't know what to expect!! i wish i could come back to this place and just unwind, it was so peaceful, secure and what a holiday should be. ametis villas is located in a very quiet area its about 20 - 25 mins to seminyak so for all those people who want privacy, peace and quiet i definitely recommend this place to you, just beautiful!

Room Tip: we stayed in the jade room, one of the closest to the restaurant and exit, we never heard any unwant...

It was our first time in Bali
The villa's lay out and decoration is very nice.
It's hard to get away from the room, so cosy and comfortable.
I highly recommend this property with an outstanding service, special mention to Pasek (our Butler) who took care of us with an admirable manner from A to Z
Can't wait to go back for a nice get away of Singapore
