“Didn't bother with anywhere else”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

This is the best breakfast spot on the beach. Not that we tried anywhere else. We were hooked after one visit (and one sip of the hand-ground coffee), and fought every morning for beach view tables with other regulars. Maybe it's subliminal messages in the tantric music, but we returned again and again for breakfast and lunch. The service and food are both quality, and the vibe is nice and chill. It was one of the few places that didn't hassle people on the boardwalk, which was a big draw for us. I can't believe we didn't try the honey date lemon cumin vata lassi, but I guess we were too busy stuffing our faces with date shakes and lemongrass coolers, spiced coffees and lemon cakes. Okay there's no strudel or cinnamon rolls or the kind of variety you'd expect from a real bakery, and if you fancy one of the Indian breakfasts be prepared to wait ("a half hour" according to one waiter). But it's still one of the best options on the beach, especially in the morning, and especially if you can score a beachside view.

“Abba Retaurant & German Bakery - excellent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

The best of the bunch, judging by the crowds eating there. Good quality pasta dishes, well priced. Highly recommended.

“Ok but Dull”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

Not very interesting. We sometimes sit there to be in all peace from the beach hassle, but not very interesting. There is also a bookshop and I find it overpriced.
Dull but worth sitting in the shade....
