“Hard to find, hard to pronounce, but worth a try”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

Don't ask us how to pronounce it, or even how we got here (if you follow the arrows on the signs you'll end up in the palm swamp), but we can tell you what to order. If you're a vegetarian, anything on the menu! Well, except maybe the pizza. But that seemed like a menu afterthought anyway. Every other dish we had was really nice. It might have something to do with the setting, under stars and swaying palms. The electricity went out in the middle of our dinner, so we were glad we weren't sitting under the bats in that center tree. I mean, nothing against the creatures but somehow them and food don't really mix well. Service was speedy and friendly by the young server; a little less friendly with the older dude. Anyway, it's worth the adventure if you're up for a change from the beach scene. Just bring a torch...

“No value for money and stale food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

This place, although situated away from main beach is not a value for money. Many dishes were available at beachfront hotels at same prices. The quality of food was poor with cold sambar and insects in food.
Ants all over the dining area.
All in all a bad experience.

“Good quality but standard slipping.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

This restaurant has always had a good reputation for a vegetarian diet. However, the chef left to set up his own vegetarian restaurant called 'Alan's' near Hotel California and has set a higher standard for food which is resulting in the decline of numbers of diners at Suprabhatam.

“A delicious veg restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

We had a lot of lunches and dinners in this place, which is the paradise for people who like the vegetarian cook.
It's delicious, with good tastes and very cheap.
For me, one of the best restaurants in Kovalam
