My wife and I were visiting Alaska for the first time and we made sure to book a couple of days of fishing as our final activity. We booked with the Glassmakers and Mark and Cindy could not have been better hosts. From the time we booked, through the end of our excursions they were terrific.

We booked a day on the Kenai River for Sockeye salmon and also a fly out trip. The first day on the river was perfect. Our guide was super helpful in teaching us how to fish the river. It is a very unique technique that I have never used, or heard of. Our guide gave us instruction and before we knew it we were landing 8-9 lb sockeyes. My wife who isn't a avid fisher person was the best in our boat. She hit her limit in 45 minutes before I landed my first fish. Eventually I caught up and we both limited out for the day.

Our fly out was a bit less eventful. Our plane left and we flew to the spot on the other side of the inlet, but there was too much fog to land safely so we returned to our launching point. At that point we were disappointed, but called Cindy for help. She was super helpful and was able to immediately book one of their guides and boats to take us back to the Kenai. On this second day we scored a similar catch and limited out in about 3 hours. The second guide was as great as our first, and we all had a memorable outing.

Would highly recommend a trip with the Glassmakers if you get to Soldotna. You won't be disappointed!

We were very fortunate to find Mark through his website . He was very accommodating and runs a professional guide service. If you are planning to fish in Alaska he should be the first one you contact

This was a great addition to our trip to Alaska. The cabin was everything and more than I expected and the guides they hooked us up with came through with some great fishing. A once in a lifetime experience. And if you are only going once - make it memorable. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Awesome stay at the Glassmakers! Mark and Cindy were wonderful host. Our cabin couldn’t have been any nicier, felt like home. Fly out was increditable, saw black bear, brown bear and moose. Caught our limit on Sockeye, Traylor our guide was awesome, Next day floated down the Kisalof River with David who spent the whole day working to make sure our trip was a success and it was. Landed a 25lb plus King. We all agree that this was a trip of a life time. Can’t wait to return!! Thanks Everyone for the experience!

WOW!!! I had a great time! The first day of fishing Mark took Hubby and I, plus three other men, sockeye fishing. All five of us caught our limit! Mark caught me before I made a huge splash in the cold river😉. That first large tug at my line caught me off balance! Second day, Dave took us King Salmon Fishing and caught our limit plus another sockeye. Dave tells lots of stories...some are true😉. Third day Hubby went out on Cook Inlet and caught a 55 lb Halibut and Black Sea Bass (Rock Bass). And our last day of fishing Mark took us on the Kenai River and Skilak Lake To fish for Rainbow Trout! Catch and release and we had a great time. Truly enjoyed the time spent fishing with Mark and Dave. I’m sure we will return! Hubby is a repeat customer and considers Mark a friend!

The cabin was very nice. It had all of the amenities of home! Enjoyed our vacation!
