We stay here when on our way out of Ketchikan it is a good place for an overnight. The rooms are small but clean and have a good shower to get ready for traveling. Coffee, complimentary breakfast, good deal that way. max people per room is three with the double bed plus a single in the room.
The best rooms are the suites, if you want a super big comfy room. They are more expensive but worth it if you are staying more than one night with a family.
They have a really good restaurant, a marina and are within walking distance to Walmart and the Day Spa.

Room Tip: the suites are really the best. But if you are on a budget any of the other rooms are fine, and they...

I was able to get a reservation here for the same day, so had no choice of rooms. the one i had was smallish, but perfectly functional. My room faced the reception building (mine was the building furthest from the water), so i was awakened early every morning by their shuttle van backing up (beep beep beep) and occasionally conversations in the lot between. But then, i sleep with the window open and it faced the lot.

having said all that, i have no complaints as the price was right, the van service excellent (i think they would have shuttled me anywhere within reason--not just back and forth to the hotel), and the staff very friendly and accommodating.

the continental breakfast looked a bit spartan, so i had a good breakfast in the restaurant every day. The service was 'relaxed", but friendly; just get up and help yourself to more coffee :-)

We stayed in the Contemporary Suite (Suite A), a corner room just above the restaurant. Large, clean, bright room with lots of windows from which we enjoyed watching the float planes and many ships passing. Large table with seating for 6. Large wall mounted flat screen TV. Comfy couch. The bathroom was huge. The furnishings were very nice (large thick towels, nice linens, solid furniture). Appreciated the small fridge and microwave. We had our own car so didn't need to make use of the provided shuttle to downtown. Reliable wireless internet.
Few cons: The first evening we were there (Sunday) there was a lot of noise plus smell of smoke from the lounge downstairs next to the restaurant - when we checked in we found an air purifier in our room as well as one running outside the door in the hallway. The bed was super soft (too much for us). The TV is mounted in a weird spot - not easy to view from either the couch or the bed.
Despite these minor inconveniences (the smoke smell and noise was much less on Monday night) would definitely stay there again.

Couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay in Ketchikan. Pam, the owner was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. The inn is not in town but provides a van to transport you to downtown. The rooms are dandy and ours had a porch to sit on looking at the water. We used our tour saver coupon so you can't beat the price. They opened the restuarant early so I could sit and have a cup of coffee while I waited for my family to wake.
I can't wait to go back.

We arrived on the morning ferry and were greeted by the narrows van. We ate breakfast in their restaurant (excellent eggs Benedict), and later made our way to town. Even though the inn is a few miles out of town, it isn't a problem as the van will take you there, and pick you up as well. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the owners very pleasant. Would definitely stay there again!

If your wanting to go fishing in Ketchikan Alaska the BEST place to stay is @ the Narrows Inn.
The accomodations are clean & comfortable, the food is good and the connection with True Alaskan Fishing Charter Service is the BEST EVER, the staff at the Narrows will go out of their way to make life easy for your stay. You don't need a rental car either because their shuttle services are exceptional
